Occasionally
there is a man with whom one can identify simply through the words that
he writes.
I am not sure what it is within a person that gives him the ability to reach out and touch our minds through his written words. Whatever it is,,, it is most certainly a God given gift. A talent that few receive, but through which many can receive benefit.
Such is the case with Mr. Ray Robinson, the Publisher Emeritus of the Salem-Times Register. He has been on our (Partners-In-Prayer.org) prayer list for a while and was undoubtedly granted a miracle through your prayers and the prayers of many others. His cancer disappeared for a while.
His cancer has returned only recently. This is no reflection on the fervency of your prayers, nor is it a reflection on the degree of Mr. Robinson's faith in God's ability to heal. Even in healing, God does not grant us eternal life (God added fifteen years to Hezekiah's life 2Kings 20 verses 6 and 21) . Eternal life comes to us only later through the resurrection.
It is still possible that God can heal and grant more time. Like a wonderful visit with friends, a great meal, or close and loving time spent with family,,, we don't want our life to end.
I imagine that most all of us have experienced the reading of an engrossing book and at the book's close, have experienced a sadness that it has ended. And we feel a bond with the author. Almost like we know him,,,, even though we may have never spoken a word to him. In a way,,, we do know him because we have experienced a portion of his mind,,, just as if we had spent hours with him in conversation, listening to his answers to our questions.
Mr. Robinson is a man, who like us,,,, has to put up with the indignities of life. A couple of excerpts from one of his recent columns illustrates this for us and perhaps will enable you also to feel such a bond with him.............
