We as Partners-In-Prayer must hold fast to our belief in the Commandment "thou shalt not kill". We must maintain our belief in conscientious objection even as we pray for the safety of our military.
It is now my sad and disturbing opinion that the United States of America is moving quickly towards a period of anarchy and civil unrest, the likes of which our country has not experienced since the Civil War. The radical left and the radical right are "meeting together at the back door" (to use an analogy often spoken by Barry Farber and other commentators) of totalitarianism. We are already witnessing more and more brutal and senseless murders; shootings of innocent students; shootings of unarmed servicemen at recruiting stations; beatings of citizens at town hall meetings, and the list could go on and on.
The Civilian Security Force being formed by Obama and the Black Panthers being enouraged by Obama are preparing quietly to meet the threat of militant groups which are forming in opposition to the radical changes sweeping our country. There is more and more talk of a "revolt" coming from everyday people. Just look at the ammunition section in the sporting goods section of any Wal-Mart to know that something major is happening. That steps are being taken by those higher up to deprive the fearful citizenry of ammunition for weapons of self-defense.
With the framework of the suspension of elections during a time of national emergency (to be determined by the President) here in the USA already in place (accomplished through unpublished Presidential Executive Orders), we can begin to see that the seeds of dictatorship for our country have already sprouted.
The blatant disregard of public sentiment concerning healthcare reform by the elected representatives of our government is slapping millions of people, who are worried about their loved ones treatment,,, it is slapping them in the face,,, and into an angry frenzy. And, in addition, when Cap and Trade $7 a gallon gas and rationed healthcare start to hit home in a few short years is the time, I fear, that we will see the conflicts start to arise. Make no mistake, Cap and Trade will throw multiple millions more out of work and home, and will send the economy back into the tailspin we have not come out of even yet from the last round of gas price hikes.
It will make little difference that those who are revolting will have no chance of ultimate success. They will be brutally put down with the Civilian Security Force; elections will be suspended; and we will see the emergence of a dictatorship in the hollow form of a multi-term presidency, coupled with a figurehead Congress which cannot be really voted out of office because of voting computer hacking.
"Impossible.", you say??? Look at what is happening around us already. Would we not have said the same thing two years ago about the current happenings?
Please pray with me that I am wrong and that we will not be put in the position of a decision concerning the defense of our family.

In a recent attack magazine article against a prominent anti-abortion leader, the fact that she had given consideration to having an abortion (after learning of her unborn child's condition) was used as a justification for continuing to offer abortions to all women who want them.
Fellow Partners-In-Prayer, let me reassure you that simply because we give consideration to sin; it is NOT the same thing as committing that sin.
In 2Corinthians 10:5 we are encouraged to "bring every thought into the captivity of Christ." This is something we should strive to achieve. That is one reason why we all need God's forgiveness every day of our lives. However, failure to control every thought is not as bad as following through on every thought with the considered action.
The thought of adultery is a sin, and we should ask God's forgiveness for any such thought. But it is not as bad as the action. Ask any husband or wife who has been cheated on.
The thought of rape is a sin, and we should ask God's forgiveness for any such thought. But it is not as bad as the action. Ask any man or woman who has been raped.
In the same manner, the thought of abortion is a sin, and we should ask God's forgiveness for any such thought. But it is not as bad as the action. If we could read the mind of most any woman who has killed her unborn child, I'm certain we would see the truth of this.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST!
Please pray for the people of Israel.
They are facing the fast accelerating threat of annihilation from the Arab countries that surround them.
Iran is being encouraged by the United States to go nuclear for "power production" (ever wondered why the USA can't?)
Anyway,,,,, they will use the nuclear facilities to make nuclear weapons, just like North Korea has done.
To believe otherwise is to stick one's head in the sand.
Iran denies the holocaust and is hell bent on destroying Israel. Their leaders continually state that.
The USA is in effect deserting Israel and (like an adulterous wife) going a whoring after other (Arab) lovers.
To glean a little understanding of the way Israel must presently feel, please imagine the following scenario;
Imagine that your neighbors, two doors down from you, have, over the years, repeatedly told you that they hate you and want to kill you and your entire family.
This has not worried you too much in the past because you could always depend on the police to protect you, but recently the police have started fussing at you and blaming you for the problems with your neighbors because sometimes you let your grass grow too long. The police have started saying that you are causing your neighbors to hate you and to want to kill you.
The police are becoming close friends with your neighbors who want to kill you and your family and are turning their backs on you when it comes to protection.
You've seen your neighbors shaking guns at you, flipping you the bird, shaking red gas cans at you and hollering that they are going to burn you out and shoot you and your family.
The police say that you are endangering the peace of the neighborhood because you don't mow your lawn often enough.
The police suggest that you give your next door neighbors some of your land and maybe they will all like you better. They tell you to mow your lawn more often and quit complaining.
Meanwhile your neighbors continue to stockpile gas and ammo for your destruction. No one else who lives around you wants to be your friend or help you either. They have all fought with you in the past.
Please imagine you are Israel, the police represent the USA government, and the neighbors two doors down represent Iran.
Israel desperately needs our prayers. They are facing nuclear destruction. They are the only democracy in the area. They have been our friends for decades. And we are most probably related to them from centuries back (to the Old Testament times when the tribes of Israel split into two kingdoms). Much of the disputed territory was gained by Israel when the neighboring Palestinians and Arabs attacked Israel to wipe them out. In all the years of peace talks the Arabs have taken NO real steps to stop the calls for Israel's destruction.
The Palestinians and Arabs will play us (the USA) for suckers in helping to bring about Israel's destruction as they gain new areas for staging rocket attacks on the Jews. If Iran takes out Israel and we take out Iran,,,, I guess that would eliminate TWO thorny Middle Eastern problems.
The USA has plenty of its own oil, if we would just drill for it, and plenty of clean coal for electricity if we would just mine it and build electric plants to use it. So energy needs are no excuse for letting the Jews suffer a SECOND holocaust!

As summertime has really arrived (with most kids out of school now), many of us will soon be thinking of trips to the pool and/or beach.
Here is a cool, simple, and healthy way to cut down on a few calories.
Instead of jelly on toast for breakfast, try using banana.
Not sliced banana but rather crushed banana.
That's right!!! There is something about crushing the banana that releases the natural sugars in the fruit and give it a much sweeter flavor. Give it a try and I think you will be surprised at the increased natural sweetness. I sure enjoy it.
Simply peel the banana and put it into a small bowl on the table. When you are ready for your jelly on toast, or even syrup on pancakes, simply take your fork and smush the banana up in the bowl until it becomes creamy. It takes about fifteen seconds.
If you use it like syrup and jelly, you'll have found yourself a way to save quite a few calories while enjoying the healthy benefits of fresh fruit!

If the women who decide to have their child aborted after he has been born (called partial birth abortion) were given the same attention as the Minnesota lady who has fled with her child to avoid chemotherapy, then we would have a truly better world.
The same Minnesota lady who is avoiding chemotherapy for her (poor little) child now (and being vilified for it) would have been defended for her right to kill the same (poor little) child just a few short years ago at the time of his birth.
Where are the nationwide manhunts for the women who are planning abortions?

Where Can You Go For Truth?
Can you go to the government for truth?
1) Well,,, it has been reported on the radio by (I believe it was) the World Health Organization that the swine flu is no worse than any regular flu we have endured in the last many years (every flu is responsible for the deaths of some weak and young).
2) The government wants to label CO2 (carbon dioxide) which is necessary for all plant, and therefore human, life as a pollutant; in order to raise energy costs.
You decide if you can go to the government for truth.
I say, when pigs fly and swine flew.
Can you go to the Catholic Church leadership for truth?
Well,,,, the Pope himself has reinstated a priest (please click here to verify) who was originally defrocked because he denied there was a holocaust.
So the Pope must either believe there was no holocaust and that the reinstated priest's beliefs are right (which makes the Pope a deluded idiot along with the reinstated priest);
or the Pope must believe that the reinstated priest's beliefs are wrong (untruthful) and has reinstated a deluded, idiotic priest anyway (which means the Pope knowingly places liars over his congregations).
And here in the United States the bastion of Catholic belief and education, the leadership of Notre Dame, is honoring a man by giving him an honorary degree whose actions (speaking much louder than his words)
(i.e.; votes to support partial birth abortions, and to kill babies who survive those abortions) whose actions debase one of the very foundational beliefs of the Catholic Church.
You decide if you can go to the Catholic Church leadership for truth.

And with the swine flu being a big concern presently (although it has been reported by the World Health Organization to be no worse than any other flu we've had during the last many years);
Can you go to the leadership of the now defunct, cultish, Herbert W. Armstrong's Worldwide Church of God (whose one of several name changes is the United Church Of God) for truth?
Well,,,, one of United Church of God's leaders, pastor and head honchos, Larry Greider, has his views on who is swine.
While he was pastor of the Florence, SC congregation of the Worldwide Church of God he said, when I asked him if my Mother could attend services while she was visiting me and my wife (and I quote), "I don't cast my pearls before swine." He also similarly refused to allow my wife's Grandmother to attend.
A more appropriate response from Larry would have been, "I don't cast my swine feces, which I often spout during my sermons, before pearls." (If you see him, you can feel free to tell him I said so.)
One of Greider's swine feces was a drunken, beer keg (actually two kegs after the first one gave out another was opened to get anyone so inclined good and drunk), Christmas party. Of course, he doesn't celebrate Christmas (he just plans and sponsors a drunken party on Christmas day). I'll leave out some of the falling down drunk, puking, details of his party.
Another of his swine feces (or pearls, you can decide) Greider spouted during one of his sermons in Florence was that he gave up studying to become a doctor in order to answer the call to become a lowly minister. Many in the congregation (myself included), (believing in the utter truthfulness of God's very own minister) were duly impressed.
When Larry's Dad visited the Florence church a few months later, I mentioned to his Dad how proud he must be that his son gave up becoming a doctor to enter the ministry. Larry's Dad looked at me incredulously and said, "He [Larry] was never studying to become a doctor." Maybe he was studying to be a Dr. Pepper because of the following;
Another of his swine feces (or pearls, you can decide) Greider spouted during one of his "Diet and Exercise" sermons in Florence were the evils of caffeine. He must have spent fifteen minutes on the "evil" subject. The very next week my wife and I saw him guzzling Dr. Pepper at a church picnic.
You could ask Greider if he has repented of telling whoppers during his sermons, or if he still has the same pompous, arrogant, better than the "heathen", and downright demented attitude he maintained during his almost ten years at Florence, and beyond (on a return visit to Fayetteville, NC, when I went up to him to speak he simply looked at me disdainfully while standing in his prissy little gray patent leather shoes and refused to speak). Probably his own shame manifesting itself in self-righteousness.
Perhaps if you are a member of the United Church of God you might try to escape from them before Greider and his backstabbing ilk (which include most ministers [like another Florence-Sumter-Dillon area minister, Steve Pelfrey] many deacons [like Florence area "Deacon B"- Dave Mioduski] and some followers) try to humiliate you in front of your wife while holding eternal death (the Lake Of Fire) over your head to make you submit to the humiliation. If you say anything to try to correct their swine crap sermons and public and private insults (without leaving the church at the same time) make no mistake about it; from my experience, the leaders will try to ruin your life and your marriage and your family!
And if they can make you, the husband, leave in humiliation and your wife stay,,,, then they have themselves another vulnerable "spiritual widow" whose "every need" must be serviced. "According to the scriptures" of course!!!!!!!!!!
I say we can go to the United Church Of God, and other Worldwide Church of God splinter group present and former leadership, for truth
when pigs fly and swine flew.
You can decide.
In my opinion the only thing one ought to consider is whether you want to get your family out right away or yesterday.

You've probably seen the billboards with a picture of a water faucet pouring out water turning into wine, with the caption; Got faith?
I say;
Got faith?
Then let's follow Christ's current example given to us in Mark 14:25 and Luke 22:18,
where Jesus tells us that He will not drink wine until the Kingdom of God is established.
Certainly; we are not living in the Kingdom of God now, are we? Surrounded by murder, crime, increasing poverty and mayhem.
If you decide to follow His current example, you may be rewarded far beyond your expectations!

The root cause of the current economic crisis in the United States (despite what ALL the newscasters/announcers are saying) is rising energy (gasoline, electricity) costs which left many of us without enough money to pay for a mortgage and many extras which we had been buying.
Please let all your friends in Virginia and surrounding states who have AEP (Appalachain Electric Power) that their rates have doubled AGAIN!!!
The rate increase from last year, which was rescinded, has been snuck through again. Even though your friends' and relatives' monthly payment may still be the same right now (because of their budget plan with AEP) their account balance is going up exponentially. When their budget redetermination month rolls around again, they will probably owe from one to two thousand dollars or more!
This could lead to foreclosure on their home.
PLEASE WARN THEM of this new danger which is not being discussed in the news.

Dear Partners-In-Prayer,
I feel it necessary to be the bearer of an unpleasant reminder. It is a crucial reminder for all of us who are concerned with the health of unborn babies.
Fetal alcohol syndrome is (I believe) much more prevalent than reported. Probably many Down Syndrome babies became that way because of alcohol consumption by the mother during a crucial day of pregnancy. And I'm talking about even one drink of alcohol.
We must remember and let the young ladies of childbearing age within our own families and the families of friends be reminded that if they take a drink of alcohol during the first days of conception (and I mean even before the young lady may have any idea that she is pregnant) that she is risking permanent and irreparable damage to her unborn child.
Please remember that when you start to feel the warm buzz of even one drink, if you are pregnant, the embryo (perhaps only a few cells large) has that same alcohol flowing through it.
Male sperm cells have been demonstrated to swim around confusedly (rather than do their job of swimming determinedly to the egg) after a man has consumed alcohol. Just consider for a moment the tiny embryo which is dividing into the parts that will become brain, head, heart, hands, etc. trying to do its job of dividing correctly with alcohol confusing it's God given behavior.
Just one drink consumed by a pregnant woman, especially during the crucial early term of the pregnancy could make a lifetime of difference for her child.
Why risk it? If you or some lady you know has the possibility of becoming pregnant, they should be aware of this information. Unpleasant though it may be to some.
Please let your family and friends be aware of this crucial reminder. Thank you.

P.S. - And concerning those who have suffered the above tragedy within their families already, let us resist the temptation to blame the mother for failing to take care of the health of her unborn baby.
Rather, let us realize that the true blame lies with the alcoholic beverage industry which has failed in the past and continues to fail, to this day, in warning the public of the hidden and unforseen dangers connected with the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
As we begin the New Year of 2009, I would like to share with you a warning for the coming years. In a sense it is a consumer warning, however it may affect your very life and the lives of your loved ones.
It concerns a so-called "new concept" in life insurance which is currently illegal, however there are rich investors who are trying to change the laws to make it legal.
The laws they need to change concern insurable interest. What that simply means is that no one should be able to own a life insurance policy on a person unless they have an interest in seeing the life of the insured person continue. This prevents life insurance from becoming a means to fund a gambling contract for murder.
If insurable interest laws are changed for the following investors' scam, we could see thousands of contracts for murder for profit with the "free life insurance" becoming the way to pay for that to happen.
The following open letter explains the scam. It is a scam that you NEED to be keenly aware of, in order to protect your own life and the lives of your family and loved ones.

As your friend and agent in the insurance industry, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and yours a very happy holiday season and New Year. I want you to know how much I appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you with your insurance. Thank you very much.
I would also like to warn you of something that you might see in the coming years. It is something that sounds too good to be true, and it is. It is sometimes called "free life insurance", or "no-cost life insurance", or "viatical life insurance", or "investor owned life insurance", or "risk-free life insurance", or "stranger owned life insurance". They are all the same thing; and that is; a stranger or "charitable" group of strangers waiting and hoping that the insured senior will die.
Here is how it works. You may be approached by a person who says he/she is representing a group that wants to give you a free, "no-cost" life insurance policy for ten or fifteen thousand dollars as a charitable public service. The group might even be a charity or foundation. Sounds great doesn't it!
Here is the catch. You must give ownership of the policy to the charity or group even though you can name a beneficiary for the promised life insurance. The policy is then written for an amount of insurance two or three times the amount that will go to your beneficiary. The investor charity or group makes its money back when you die. AND FOR THE INVESTORS (or charity) WHO OWN THE POLICY; THE SOONER YOU DIE THE BETTER, because that is when they make their money for "giving" you the "free life insurance"! For instance; your beneficiary may get the fifteen thousand dollars but the investing or charity group will get thirty or forty thousand dollars or more at your death. That is why they are willing to "give" you the fifteen thousand dollars of life insurance.
Fears of this illegal scheme being approved have arisen again recently. There are investors who want to gamble on your life and who are currently trying to get it approved in your state. Thankfully, it is not approved yet. I know that I, for one, do not want any person I don't even know, waiting and hoping I will die soon. We all know what that can lead to. Even your worst enemy could end up with the policy on you (by purchasing it from the charity or group) because you would not be the owner of it!
You can rest assured that you or a loved one is the OWNER of the coverage you bought through me. All of the money at the time of your death will go to those you've named whom you love and who love you. Those who (like me) want you to live as long and as happily as possible.
There is no need for you to worry, because now you are aware of the scheme. Please simply be aware and let your friends know of this scheme so that you and they will not be tricked into any "free life insurance" that will have investor strangers hoping and gambling you will die soon.

As we approach Christmas and a New Year here at the end of 2007 let us respond to a special prayer request and expand it to include others.

If you have been reading the following books, as I suggested below, then you might be curious as to the direction I am taking concerning the information contained in them.
These books show that my (and many other's) idea, that most of the Bible is the exact and total words of God which must be harmonized with each other, has been off the mark.
We will discuss it in more detail in the future, however for the present let me give you the general direction from which to approach the undeniable portion of information contained in the books.
If we were to think of the words of the Bible as creating a picture of God's plans and instructions for mankind; then we would need to consider the picture to be a beautiful water-color painting rather than a 5.0 megapixel photograph.
It is really that simple.
Have you been concerned about the literature and movies coming out in the last few years which attack the integrity of the Bible? Are you reconsidering belief in evolution and a Godless creation as a result? Have you read the books, "Misquoting Jesus" and "Truth and Fiction In The Da Vinci Code"?
If you haven't read them, I would suggest doing so. These books contain information which will shake you to the core of your belief in the integrity of the Bible. After you've had some time to read these books we will discuss their impact on our beliefs if we accept the information contained within them as being by and large true.
As you read them, do not become afraid. Think of the following question from time to time as you read those books.
What would modern day, average people call an angel, appearing to them in its glory, if they were mistaken in their conception of an angel looking like a winged man or woman clothed in white?
Do not become alarmed at what you read. If God grants, I will share with you the truth and it WILL CONTINUE to make you free. And the ridiculousness of evolution will still be just as ridiculous.

When the Bible was written, including both Old and New Testaments, there were no printing presses and no digital media storage. Printing presses and digital media storage enable (although not guarantee) the easy transfer of written material between individuals with no changes whatsoever.
That means that human beings (often called scribes) were employed to make copies of written works, including those contained in the Bible. These human beings had personal agendas and were employed by human beings with personal agendas. That means that even original and authentic works were often changed, by addition or subtraction of written material, in sometimes minor and sometimes major ways.
The Partners-In-Prayer, as many of the longtime members are aware, have long believed that much of the Old Testament was written not in exact scientific terms but rather in story form. This makes the concepts much easier to grasp and often turns what would be incomprehensible to even the most advanced modern day scientists into something easy to remember.
For instance; Genesis is not a scientific treatise on creation. Can you imagine God trying to teach the uneducated masses of humanity that in creating the birds he wrapped one deoxyribose nucleic acid strand with another ribose nucleic acid strand, placing two molecules of lysine next to each other in the five hundred and sixty sixth and seventh positions to create the migrating instinct in the minds of geese? (a made up example but you get the point)
So the Partners-In-Prayer have long believed that the Bible is not necessarily the "exact" word of God. Now we have additonal knowledge available concerning the Bible and how it was changed as it was handed down. Let's let the Bible itself reveal what we are talking about:
In Jeremiah 8: 8 we read,
"How can you say, “We are wise,
for we have the law of the LORD,”
when actually the lying pen of the scribes
has handled it falsely?"
That's the Old Testament. What about the New?
In 2Thessalonians 2 we read of false letters claiming to have been written by Paul which were already circulating around even in Paul's own time: "1Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come"
This should not be a cause for concern but rather a cause for joy!
For a long time I have wondered in my own mind how would I be able to explain some of the inconsistencies in the New Testament to you if I were to read it to you. For instance in the first letter purported to be from Paul to the Corinthians;
It is first written that Paul instructs women who speak in church to do so with their heads covered:
I Corinthians 11:5
"5And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is just as though her head were shaved"
A few pages later in what is purported to be the same letter from Paul, he says
in I Corinthians 14:
"As in all the congregations of the saints, 34women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church."
So which is it? Should women be silent or talk with their heads covered?
How can a discrepancy like that be rationally harmonized? It can't.
That's why this realization is GOOD! and should increase our faith rather than shipwreck it.
Regardless of who wrote the original letter, someone added something to it.
Now as far as going to church goes------ If I didn't want to hear a woman speak, I wouldn't attend a church where they were permitted to speak. If I didn't care whether or not they spoke, I wouldn't worry about it. Either way it is not what our salvation hinges on.
Our salvation hinges on faith in God and Christ and in the resurrection. Christ's resurrection must be accepted on faith. There are no first hand, surving, written, eyewitness accounts.
The proof of God's existence lies in the creation. There is more computing power in the head of one tiny BIRD than in the most sophisticated computer technology in existence today! And some educated ingnoramuses want to claim that happens by accident. BULL!!!
Man is puny compared to God. Man can't even tell us if it is going to rain or snow the NEXT DAY with reliable certainty, much less the temperature the next fifty years.
Let us bow before our mighty God in our prayers and worhip Him knowing that He has left us with a broad outline, a beautiful watercolor, depicting a righteous way of life that is controlled by love for all others.
And let us hold fast to the hope of receiving the rewards of right living, forgiveness, and the gift of eternal life that He has promised us for striving after His ways.

As you begin to look into the works of Bart D. Ehrman, the author of "Misquoting Jesus" and "Truth And Fiction In The Da Vinci Code", please take a moment to listen to this brief warning concerning Bart Ehrman. We can learn from his learning, but we also need to beware of a major shortcoming in his understanding (highly educated though he is) so that we are not deceived by him.
For this year's Thanksgiving, in order to make it a memorable and meaningful one for us, in addition to thinking of our own blessings for which we should be thankful; let us take a moment to consider a way to make this Thanksgiving a little better for someone or some family who is suffering.
Let the person or family know that it is YOU (even if they don't recognize your name) who is showing some little act of kindness to make their suffering a little more bearable this Thanksgiving. YOUR act of kindness may be just the one that turns this Thanksgiving from being one of misery, into one with a ray of hope for that person or family.
Let your name bring glory to God by some little act of kindness. It need only take a few minutes.
If we do so, I am certain that it will help us to have a wonderful Thanksgiving because we can enjoy the knowledge of having given our small gift of kindness, and thus make our own blessings something extra.

then the Jesus we worship is not God!!!
For it would mean that in Luke 23:33, where Christ prayed to the Father asking Him to "forgive them because they don't know what they were doing", God refused to answer His own Son's prayer to forgive not only the Romans but also the Jews, who were ultimately responsible for what was done to Jesus.
Do we not, rather, owe the Jews a debt of gratitude?
If the New Testament scriptures are worth heeding, then we do owe them!!!
For we read in John 4:22 ("for salvation is of the Jews") and Romans 11:11("but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles") that our own salvation has come to us because of the Jews.
As anti-Semitism continues to rear its ugly head, let us, the Partners-In-Prayer, realize that, as in all prejudice, it is simply and plainly that:
PREJUDICE!!!
And that it cannot be justified with God's Will as revealed in the Bible.

There was an excellent letter to the editor in the August 22nd, 2007 edition of the Roanoke Times by George J. Palmerio concerning the current furor over a sports figure accused of dog fighting and abuse. In his letter, Mr. Palmerio reminds us that abortion is a much worse crime.
We should beware of the feelings of self-righteousness and revulsion that can overwhelm us concerning dog abuse while at the same time we stand idly and quietly by when it comes to abortion. To tolerate human abortion while condemning dog abuse is cavalier to say the least. It is downright hypocritical in my opinion.
We need to be aware that oftentimes abortion supporters are the most vocal opponents of animal abuse.
While I am not justifying animal abuse by any means, we need to be aware that our minds often subconsciously seek refuge from the deep down realization of the HORROR of aborting and murdering unborn babies by taking up animal rights, vegetarianism and "tree hugging" as high sounding "moral" causes. Not everyone involved in such causes,,,, but OFTEN.
While neither animal abuse nor human abortion is right;
neither is stealing a loaf of bread or stealing a family's life savings.
There ARE huge degrees of difference, however, in both comparisons.
If it weren't so serious, it would be laughable to contemplate the juxtaposition of imprisoning a dog killer, and the cocktail party blather treatment of a rich abortionist (baby killer).
I am certain that, from God's point of view, someone who tolerates abortion is a far more mentally sick individual than one who tolerates animal abuse.
I thank Mr. Palmerio for reminding us to keep a Godly perspective!!!

PISSED ON FROM THE PULPIT!
Is your preacher ready or preparing to "piss on you from the pulpit"?
One might respond, "What a coarse question!"
The Bible uses the word, so it's good enough for me, too. (I Samuel 25:22)
As far as the question itself, I've witnessed and heard of it happening in the Worldwide Church of God and by extension the spin-offs of the now defunct church.
BEWARE! It is a tactic used especially on the men of the church! If you fall out of favor, if the minister needs to cover up his own sin (or the sin of his lackey deacons), or the minister needs to justify his decision to pass you up to promote someone else (to deacon, etc.) you are liable to get pissed on from the pulpit.
I know,,,, it has happened to me.
It happens when you are deliberately humiliated in front of the other members of the church and in particular, your wife, during a sermon or other "church" address. Often given with the fig leaf cover of "no names were mentioned". (Of course, enough identifying information is given out so that there is no doubt as to whom "God's minister" is referring to.)
So much for building strong family relationships. That's lip service paid to a noble idea.
The reality of those "churches" is and has been:
1. Trap a man in his weakness. (Larry Greider, now a highly placed leader of the United Church of God, went so far as to provide large keg after large keg of beer at a drunken, drink as much as you want, beer bust, NON-Christmas [what a joke] party held on Christmas Day to induce those with a drinking weakness into drunkenness. [One man got drunk, fell down, and puked all over. A couple of years later she left her husband for some other guy in the church.])
2. Humiliate him in front of his wife and the "church".
3. Destroy his marriage and standing in the "church".
I know of a man who was told by the minister (after exhibiting the courage to give a speech in front of others in the "church") that his eyes looked like two pee holes in the snow. It's hard to say why the destructive, hateful, Ambassador College Pasadena educated, officially "ordained", "God's minister" did that, but a good guess is that the "God's minister" probably wanted to get into the man's wife's panties or cover up an officially "ordained" "God's deacon" having done so.
That poor man was faced with what he believed was the only choice of either "consigning himself to the lake of fire" by telling the "minister" to go jump in his own cess pool or remaining in a "church" with everyone snickering at him and feeling sorry for his wife (that she is married to such a pitiful man and undoubtedly needing some "spiritual widow service" from the minister and/or deacons).
Another "minister" attacked the evils of masturbation (spiritual adultery) in a sermon having the effect of justifying literal adultery with women in the church (probably his own adultery included as a baby was born to an attractive, married woman, who had the minister's eye and whose husband was not in the church [a "spiritual widow"] about nine months later, which bore a striking resemblance to the "minister". Somehow I doubt that the woman's husband was glad that the minister didn't sin terribly by masturbating and instead was a "real man" like King David and abused his power as a minister and had some real sex with his wife.).
The twisted thinking goes; Well, if the husband is masturbating then his wife has needs that aren't being met, so the minister and/or deacons need to provide that service. And because all sin is worthy of death, even if the literal adultery is a little sin (according to a joke circulated by a former preacher of the WWCG, Kenneth Smiley, it is the "world's littlest sin; flea [flee] fornication"), it is just as bad or worse to masturbate (maybe worse to masturbate because a real man would only have real sex.). So according to the twisted thinking it is just as bad a sin to masturbate (not that masturbation is right) as it is to screw someone else's wife and impregnate her if you can. And probably not a sin at all if her husband is not in the church (i.e., if she's a "spiritual widow") and having sex with her can be justified under the pretext of satisfying the needs of the widow! And, after all, King David had lots of concubines. That's how the twisted thinking goes.
Somehow I doubt the husband of the woman would agree that a church deacon or minister screwing his wife was no worse than that same church leader masturbating.
If you heard of the husband walking into church services and shooting the minister and others (that happened up north a few years ago), similar reasons almost surely exist (not that the shooting is right). This sex orgy teaching is and has been the nuanced teaching of these churches for years!
If you are addicted to alcohol, those churches subtly teach with great nuance, have at it!!! During the Feast of Booths (booze) you can stay half drunk for an entire week! Don't fall down and puke though because that is bad and will necessitate a pissing on from the pulpit by "God's minister".
If you are addicted to sex, have at that!!! Any time is good for that just so you "don't get caught"! Keep reading to see why.
Take your pick, or mix and match, illicit sex and drinking, and for good measure top it off with the self-righteous feeling that you are keeping God's Holy Days and Laws! That you are one of God's chosen people. It is yours for the taking at one of the Herbert W. Armstrong, WWCG modeled churches. They are sorta like a bar, an orgy party, and a church all rolled into one, and supposedly with God's blessing and inspiration to boot! (not that there aren't many sincere individual church members who are deceived by the whole stinking mess).
Just be sure to send in your first and third tithes and your "excess" second tithe. And if you start to get into trouble from having sex with the women, just let the minister know and he'll find something to piss on the woman's husband about from the pulpit and threaten him with the lake of fire. Even if he has to make up some idiotic, insulting thing like his eyes look like two pee holes in the snow.
Please don't allow yourself to be deceived by that deceptive and erroneous line of thinking!!! And remember it is safer not to associate with those who do think that way any more than is absolutely necessary.
I personally heard a deacon say to a group of other "deacons" including Winston Davis and his father, Gordon Davis, who was a "local elder" ( a local elder is one of the highest levels a lay member can rise to in churches like United Church of God, Philadelphia Church Of God, Church of the Great God, and the former Worldwide Church of God) while standing around and bragging in a laughing, joking manner that (in reference to literal adultery) he was of the "old school" which was "Don't get caught. ha, ha, ha". All the "deacons" and the "elder" laughed and thought that was very funny. I did not laugh. I was shocked and upset. I guess it goes to show how stupid, naive, and trusting I was at the time of "God's true people" (God's true people,, BULL!!! We were no more "God's true people" than the next man. And probably less so because of all the hypocrisy and self-righteousness.) The "deacon" who made that "joke" went on to become a leader in one of "God's true (yeah right)" splinter groups after the Worldwide Church of God fell apart.
The local elder, Gordon Davis (now deceased), and his deacon son, Winston, became leaders in Gerald Flurrie's Philadelphia Church of God (now publishing the PT, Philadelphia Trumpet magazine). Winston Davis once made the comment in my presence after I and others had been pissed on from the pulpit, that he surely "didn't want the minister up there talking about him." Winston Davis' comment gives an independent verification of the purpose and title of this article.
So, if you know any men (or married women) in one of the splinter groups (or any other "church" which practices such humiliation) you need to warn them that at any time the leadership is liable to turn on them or their husband and decide they need to be
PISSED ON FROM THE PULPIT!
The good news is that you don't have to put up with that sort of crap. Christ preached the good news of a personal relationship with God which leads to a full life now and salvation in the future.
You can be a part of the Partners-In-Prayer.org and by your personal belief and personal relationship with God, rest assured that God will help you and save you and grant you eternal life.
You don't have to be part of any organized religion, WWCG splinter group or any other for that matter. Read on and soak in the truth. It's not complicated.

God grants man requesting prayers more time with his loved ones and a miraculous recovery from cancer. He was near death in intensive care and is now back at work! He expressed heartfelt thanks for all prayers.

With cold weather right around the corner and we begin to winterize our cars by checking the antifreeze protection level in the radiator, let's be sure to remember the windshield washer fluid!
We need to make sure the windshield washer reservoir contains WINTER FORMULA washer solvent. Summer formula usually has no freezing protection at all. Even if we happen to live in a southern area, let's make sure we are thoroughly protected in case we happen to travel into another state where the winter temperatures often drop well below freezing!
A ruined winshield washer pump can be avoided!
As we prepare for "back to school", can we make this year a
"I didn't catch a cold all year." year?
Well,,,, here is one suggestion that may help.
As cold weather approaches and we have to wipe a runny nose, or block a sneeze with our hand,
let's take a moment to wash our hands afterwards. Preferably with detergent. (Detergent kills most viruses. If you use liquid hand soap you can mix a little dish detergent in the dispensing bottle with it.)
The reason for this, which might seem a little excessive, is that our nose is an amazing filtering mechanism which God has given us.
Our nose filters the air we breathe, which (especially in a school environment) contains numerous viruses and traps them in mucous inside our nose. If we clean our nose with a tissue and throw the tissue away without touching it,,,, that's fine. If a little gets on our hands and finds it way to our lunch cake,,,, then its possible that a virus can find its way into our bodies as we eat the cake.
In addition, we need to be careful as we use the tissue to clean our nose, that we don't tear the delicate lining inside our nose with a fingernail or whatever. If we happen to tear the lining, we open a gateway for any cold virus floating in the air to make it straight into our bloodstream.
Of course, all the above precautions do not guarantee that we won't catch a cold this year. However, the principle is true and the precautions will certainly help.

Do you recall the tragedy, which occurred a while back, when the husband of a female member of the Worldwide Church Of God entered church services in the northern midwest (Chicago, I believe) and shot the minister and others?
If you have wondered as to the "why" of such an occurrence, please consider the following facts to arrive at a possible (if not probable) explanation:
Quite simply, the Worldwide Church of God used to preach that deacons (and ministers) were charged with the responsibility of "meeting every need of the widows". That was stated in just those words without further explanation.
Couple that statement with the fact that married women members of the congregation, whose husbands were not members, were considered to be "spiritual widows". Of course, these "spiritual widows" were to have every need ministered to, as well.
You can begin to see the culture which arose out of such open teachings. These policies, of course, tend to hold women in the congregation, and thus their contributions.
Today in 2006 there are many splinter churches from the WWCG which splintered off to preserve and continue these type of control teachings such as; The United Church Of God (Robert Dick & Aaron Dean), Church Of The Living God (Roderick Meredith), Philadelphia Church Of God (Gerald Flurry), and Church Of The Great God (John Ritenbaugh), just to name a few.
I doubt such policies and teachings are confined to former WWCG splinter groups as I have heard a member of another church speak of "universal need" (everybody needs it) and I hope this will help you to be aware of such teachings and their ultimate effects.
If you know members of these churches, a heads-up warning to them might be in order since they might quite possibly be unaware of the policy, although the warning will probably be useless.

Attitude!
How important is attitude?
It is seemingly so small and insignificant that it is often compared to a drop in a pond of water.
With only small ripples of consequence.
How important is attitude?
It changed the question for the Titanic from:
Will the Titanic collide with an iceberg? to:
With which iceberg will the Titanic collide?
That's right, folks. Something which is too often an invisible part of the human spirit; An attitude of arrogance.
The myth perpetuated throughout history and continued with the otherwise outstanding 1997 movie, "Titanic", is that the ship collided with a lone iceberg in an otherwise empty sea.
The truth is that the Titanic collided with one of dozens of icebergs (after numerous warnings) within visual distance of a ship named the Californian. The Californian had warned the Titanic just forty five minutes prior to the collision that they were "stopped and surrounded by ice". The Californian was at a point almost directly on the Titanic's course.
To which the Titanic's wireless operator responded, "Shut up! We are busy working Cape Race. [sending wireless messages for the passengers]" After this humiliating reply,,,, the Captain and crew of the Californian shut off the wireless and despondantly went to bed. Some of the Californian's crew reportedly watched the Titanic's flares from their deck. Such actions, albeit bordering on criminal, were an almost direct result of the arrogant attitude displayed by the Titanic's crew.
It was at that moment,,, that the fate of the Titanic was all but sealed. At that point, the Titanic needed a miracle to miss every iceberg of the pack into which they were heading at full speed.

This is an indication (since the Titanic struck the berg on her starboard side) that the photo was taken from the "pack side" of the iceberg looking out from the pack toward the direction from which the Titanic came. Other photos from the wreck site confirm the reports that icebergs were "all around".

Let's also be thankful that we have a knowledge of the truth, for the truth too, is priceless. If ever we should begin to doubt the fact that our beliefs are true and that the premise upon which mainstream Christianity's beliefs are based is false!!!
Let's remember that one of the major premises upon which mainstream Christianity is built is that those who reject the message of Christ in this life are eternally condemned.
If such a premise is true, then hitler was doing God a favor in killing the Jews.

For a cold, tasty, perfect for the hot summertime, fruit drink;
TRY A FRUIT FROTHY!!!
It's simple to make (takes about five minutes) and it's good for you! Here's all you do:
Pretty much just whatever you have around in the way of fruit and juice until your blender is about half full (including the milk). Turn the blender on and let it blend for about thirty seconds. Apple peels and grape skins get chopped up so small they become drinkable as well.
Fill a tall glass with ice cubes and stop the blender. Add a few cubes at a time (stopping the blender each time) to the mixture and let the blender (make sure it can handle ice cubes) crush the cubes until you've added the entire glass full of ice. Then let the blender run at full speed for another half a minute.
This should create an almost full blender of Fruit Frothy. Experiment with adding ice cream!
It's a healthy summertime cold drink and a great way to beat this year's global warming!!!
I enjoy Fruit Frothy even after global warming let's up in the fall and global cooling sets in!!!

Hurricane Frances looks like another bad one. With its almost due westerly course over the last several days, southern Florida looks to be in for a wallop. Let's pray that God will cause Frances to skirt the southern tip of Florida, doing minimal damage, sparing life, and head on out into the Gulf.
God has answered our prayers again, causing the storm to stop off the southeastern coast of Florida and diminish in intensity before moving across Florida and back into the Gulf.
The Bible says that the prayers of the righteous avail much, and that my friends,,,, is you. Let us thank God for hearing your prayers and for answering them in the affirmative.

For instance: During a speech at a civic club meeting, a doctor spoke on the heart. He said that if we forgot everything else about his speech to remember to take a heart-healthy, large (400IU) extra dose of Vitamin E every day. What better setting for reliable advice could there be? Right???

One could now assume he was trying to harm the unsuspecting in the crowd.
As it turns out, large doses of Vitamin E exacerbates liver damage and worsen it!
Women are even more susceptible to cirrhosis than men. One drink a day of any type for a female can lead to cirrhosis, and only two drinks a day for a man. As far as cirrhosis is concerned, one or two drinks a day is heavy drinking.
Some symptoms of the early stages of liver damage showing up at any age may include;
mood swings (often noticed as bursts of anger), unwarranted changing of stances on subjects during conversations or within a short period of time, and even chronic fatigue. Itching of the palms is also a sign of damage to the liver.
One of the most eye opening aspects of this study is the fact that what has often been called "early onset" Alzheimers is in fact dementia which is caused by the liver damage. Scientists believe that as the liver becomes damaged, instead of cleaning toxins from the blood it allows those toxins to circulate in the blood. As they pass through the brain, damage starts to occur. The technical term for this process is hepatic encephalopathy but what it amounts to is dementia caused by liver damage (the earliest symptoms being listed above, i.e. anger, etc.).
If the individual is drinking, he or she should immediately stop ALL alcohol consumption of any type (whisky, beer, wine, mixed drinks of any type) for the rest of his or her life.
There is only one way to conquer death. That way is contained in this website.
It has been reported that Alexander the Great said that we can "conquer death by conquering our fear".
Well,,, if the fear to be conquered is the one of coming to this website to learn of the truth, then he was right.
Perhaps, without realizing it, he was speaking prophetically.

For those of you who might be (or who might know someone who is) considering surgery to correct gum disease (called periodontal surgery)!
Please advise them that they need to consider and discuss with the surgeon beforehand two possibilities.
One is more serious than the other.
Both can be upsetting.
First of all it needs to be discussed if you will have full use of your lips after the surgery. The after effects of periodontal surgery can include being unable to whistle.
While this might seem minor, it can be a great aggravation, when you need to whistle to be heard for some reason.
Another, even more serious after effect, you need to discuss with the tooth surgeon is whether your facial appearance will be permanently altered by the surgery.
After effects of the surgery can include the loss of dimples in your cheeks and particulary in your chin.
These life long alterations of your appearance and abilities result from the cutting of certain nerves and/or connective tissue and need to be addressed before you experience them.
I wish that I had tried "deep cleaning" (a tooth cleaning with the numbing of novocaine) and given my body a chance to heal, before submitting to surgery. God has given our bodies miraculous ability to heal from infections.
The "deep cleaning" is an option that some periodontists are loathe to tell you about. It costs much less for one thing.

The Partners-In-Prayer grieve along with the friends and family members of the Spaniards murdered in the Madrid train station bombings.
The founder of Partners-In-Prayer used to work for the railroad and is very aware of the sense of security felt around trains and train stations. That sense of security makes the bombings seem all that much more a betrayal.
In this "house of prayer for all nations" (Mark 11:17, "My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer") let us join together in praying for God's Kingdom to be soon established here on this earth, when we will once again be able to see and talk with our deceased loved ones (ICorinthians 15:22, "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.")
And when the governments of this world, with their murderous and rapine elements, will pass away to be replaced by the loving and just government headed by Jesus Christ.
In a surprise move, the State of Utah has declared that the intentional killing of an unborn fetus is MURDER!

(please excuse the reporters use of the blatantly biased photo of the Mother who was obviously photographed shortly after coming out from under some prescribed sedative or anesthesia) Let us remember that the Mother, of course, is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
In light of this decision by the State of Utah, all abortions NATIONWIDE should cease immediately and any doctor, from this point forward, should be charged with murder for performing an abortion. If abortions don't stop immediately in Utah, at least, then the Utah law protecting unborn fetuses becomes a farce.
I state this, in light of the Supreme Court of Utah's previous decision, because the action taken on March 11, 2004 to charge the Mother with murder stems from advice given by a physician. If a doctor performs an abortion, he or she is giving de facto advice that such a procedure is advisable. Therefore the doctor giving such de facto advice is even more culpable in murder than a Mother who refuses medical advice and who may have religious or other convictions of her conscience regarding operations.
Therefore it is presently incumbent on a Mother carrying unborn life to assess the advice given by the doctor (since such advice could legally be the destruction of the fetus, i.e., abortion) and determine wether or not to accept such advice. If she decides to reject such advice from the doctor, then she has the right to use as an excuse any real reason she can think of for such refusal. (She doesn't want the scars, doesn't feel like it today, has something else to do, etc.) By so doing she can refuse the advice without coming out and saying to the doctor that she thinks he might be advising murder, i.e., abortion (which is currently legal).
Let us praise God that a State of our Union recognizes full well the sanctity of unborn life and that it is MURDER to deliberately end such life.
It was reported yesterday (2/25/04) that the Muslims in Nigeria were refusing polio vaccinations because of feared side effects from the vaccine.
Although the speaker promoting the vaccinations said that there are no side effects and nothing to worry about, that is untrue. It was reported that they are using the live vaccine (live polio virus is injected into the child) and not the Salk Vaccine (dead polio virus).
The live vaccine can sometimes cause actual polio in the person receiving the vaccination.
In addition, the person who has received the live vaccine can infect others, who have not been vaccinated, with regular polio.
This is because the live vaccine causes a mild polio type illness in the digestive tract of the individual receiving it and the illness sometimes flares up into full fledged polio. In addition, full fledged polio is sometimes transmitted to others who are not vaccinated even though the person receiving the vaccine does not develop full fledged polio. This is particulary true of the mother of a vaccinated child who often comes into contact with the contents of the child's digestive tract (i.e., changing diapers, etc.)
This is true for Americans as well as Nigerians. When we had our children vaccinated, we made a special request that the Salk (dead) vaccine be used to immunize them.

It's little wonder that Billy Graham of the Billy - Franklin Graham Baptist organization has come out in favor of the movie "Passion" which is reportedly anti-Semitic.

Dear Partners-In-Prayer,
As the SARS scare draws to a close, congratulations again are in order for you. You responded to the scare, not with masks and panic, but rather with loving concern and a healing touch. BRAVO! Your courage helped to preserve our society from unreasoning panic.
And now we need to turn our attention to our neighbors, which are facing the peril of the loss of freedoms, i.e, the freedom of privacy from the government, the freedom of unreasonable search and seizure by the government, the freedom of speech, etc.
Many, many Americans like you and me are worried about this loss of freedom,,,, from noted newspaper columnists like William Raspberry, to local librarians who are worried about the government prying into the books you read.
Many of the ones who would normally be worried about this are being blinded by flag waving patriotism which is being stirred up by the mainstream churches, now on the government payroll. And many others are simply content to let things rock along as long as there is a constant stream of movies and Monday night football and baseball. Not that there is anything inherently wrong with that entertainment, but we must wake up to the fact that our freedoms are in jeopardy!
I saw a sign yesterday in front of a mainstream church which said, "True Freedom Is Knowing Jesus"
While this is basically true, it is a blatant attempt to soothe us into accepting the wasting of our freedoms by the government with simply "knowing Jesus".
The slaves in our country one hundred and fifty years ago had the freedom to know Jesus, yet that did not prevent them from living miserable lives. Russian citizens under Stalin had the freedom to know Jesus, yet that did not prevent them from being imprisoned or killed for disagreeing with the government!
While believing in Christ brings the ultimate freedom,,,,, Christ does not advocate wastage.... And that includes the stealing of our Constitutional freedoms by the government!
We must consider our own leaders, religious, local, state, and congressmen to see if they are DOING ANYTHING to PREVENT this loss of basic freedoms. If they are not, then we should replace them with someone who is concerned!
A sad, prevalent attitude was expressed by an attractive American woman in line at the Post Office the other day in response to a news article on the overhead television. The article was about a Middle Eastern woman who had her driver's license suspended because she refused to have her picture taken for the license without her veil, for religious reasons.
The American woman's comment while in line was, "Well, that's one less this country has to worry about."
I am certain that many Germans, whipped up by Hitler into patriotic frenzy, said the same thing as a Jew was carted off to the concentration camps.
We must earnestly pray that something will change the direction of our government, and that once again we will not have the rights guaranteed by our Constitution threatened by an increasingly tyrannical government. It is a tendency toward tyranny that started during the Clintons' administration starting with the governmental shooting of women and children as they fled a burning building in Waco, Texas, typified by military drills terrorizing nursing home residents near Corpus Christi, Texas and continuing and intensifying under the present Bush administration with the implementation of the PATRIOT ACT.
Now, more than ever our country needs us, Partners-In-Prayer, the truth!!! We need not expect to be thanked or even appreciated for our concern in the present; for the prevailing attitude is too much that of the woman in the Post Office. However one day, God may look back and say, "Well done, Partner-In-Prayer, the truth!!!. You helped save the land of the free for your children and grandchildren."
What a wonderful blessing it would be to hear that from God.

Should The Door Be Flung Open To Teach "Christian Values" In Our Public Schools?
Being familiar with the way private schools, that are connected to Christian churches, operate, explains the concern that many have over Rod Paige's, the Secretary of Education, recent comments about "Christian values" being taught in our public school system.
Many people do not want their children coming home frightened that their parents are going to roast in hell if they are not "saved".
And that is what they are taught by teachers and visiting ministers in assemblies and in the class, when the doors to teaching "Christian" values in the school are flung open.
The safe course is the continued maintenance of the line separating church and state; a line which, recently, has become increasingly fuzzy with the current administration's practice of the Federal funding of local church "Faith-based, community programs".
Through this practice, the Federal government gains leverage on the church's teachings and helps to assure that the church receiving the funds will teach the government viewpoint in all matters. If they refuse,,,,, the church will face the consequences of losing the Federal funding!
The church in question, then effectively sells it independence of thought and viewpoint to the sugar daddy Federal government.
To extend the teaching of Christian values (which would of necessity include the Christian rewards for believing, and the Christian punishments [i.e., hell] for not believing) to the public schools would be a grave mistake, placing students who believe differently from mainstream Christianity in a persecuted position.
The churches and parents are certainly capable of instilling proper values within their children. It would be best for the schools to continue to refrain from teaching religion and confine their efforts in such honorable directions to the teaching of the IDEALS of American laws and justice.
For certainly the IDEALS of law and justice in our blessed nation are founded on principles of right and wrong.

You can take notice of those in your own community who claim to be true Christians but who have the self-righteous, hypocritical attitude of condemnation against entire families they consider to be beneath their dignity, folks they are embarassed to know..... Those who are not quite "good enough" to associate with in public.
The hypocrites' actions would be laughable if they sometimes were not so serious.
Our entire country was founded on the basis of individual responsibility.
In our Constitution, Article III Section III, it talks about the "corruption of blood", which means taking punishment on the family of one convicted of even treason against our country.
And of course the Bible talks of individual responsibility as well as taking into consideration the present attitude of a person.
We find this in Ezekiel 18:20 we read, "The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son;" and in verse 21, "But if a wicked man turns away from all his sins which he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be remembered against him;"
This enables us, the Partners-In-Prayer, to be a shining light to those in our community rather than a hypocritical snake (Matthew 23: 27-33).
We should thank God and praise Him for the understanding!

When a child is recommended for psychological counseling because he drew a picture of Jesus on the cross (which is what Christ's birth ultimately led to), then we need to consider the country's moral underpinnings.

We have a special request for prayers for a man who is suffering with critically severe respiratory problems.

Can you go to the leadership of the now defunct, cultish, Herbert W. Armstrong's Worldwide Church of God (whose one of several name changes is the United Church Of God) for truth?
Well,,,, one of United Church of God's leaders, pastor and head honchos, Larry Greider, has his views on who is swine.
While he was pastor of the Florence, SC congregation of the Worldwide Church of God he said, when I asked him if my Mother could attend services while she was visiting me and my wife (and I quote), "I don't cast my pearls before swine." He also similarly refused to allow my wife's Grandmother to attend.
A more appropriate response from Larry would have been, "I don't cast my swine feces, which I often spout during my sermons, before pearls." (If you see him, you can feel free to tell him I said so.)
Another one of Greider's swine feces was a drunken, beer keg (actually two kegs after the first one gave out another was opened so anyone so inclined could get good and drunk), Christmas party. Of course, Larry, at that time, preached against celebrating Christmas (he just PLANNED and sponsored and oversaw a drunken party on Christmas day). I'll leave out some of the falling down drunk, puking, details of his party. He apparently believed Christmas was evil but a drunken beer kegs "family" party was just fine.

Let us pray; that with yesterday's election results showing a resounding disenchantment with obama's policies and the "town hall" type meeting to take place in Washington, DC tomorrow (November 5, 2009), that there will not be anyone who would try to garner outrage and sympathy for obama's socialistic policies by performing some type of horrendous, violent act with the intent of blaming conservative citizens.
Let us pray that there be no violence whatsoever.

Veterans Day 2009 Message
Let us pray; that with yesterday's election results showing a resounding disenchantment with obama's policies and the "town hall" type meeting to take place in Washington, DC tomorrow (November 5, 2009), that there will not be anyone who would try to garner outrage and sympathy for obama's socialistic policies by performing some type of horrendous, violent act with the intent of blaming conservative citizens.
Let us pray that there be no violence whatsoever.

Sadly, as much as we would like to be able to do, we cannot prevent all violence everywhere (please see a fairly recent article of the Partners-In-Prayer directly below).

believe in religious tolerance and the wonderful freedom of religion
which we enjoy (as a blessing of God) in the United States of America,
however;
it is important for us to resist and speak out against Muslims who believe in Jihad and beheading the infidels (and the infidels are us). Radical Muslims, when combined with those Muslims who are tolerant of radical Muslims, are becoming the vast majority of all Muslims today.
All cultures are not equal. The British, when ruling India, had to deal with the Indian custom of burning widows on the funeral pyres of their dead husbands. The British built gallows next to the funeral pyres and said that they would keep the British custom of immediately hanging those responsible for keeping such an Indian custom. Needless to say, the murderous Indian custom was quickly forsaken.
Such historic cultural confidence (and women's rights groups should agree with the use of the words cultural confidence wholeheartedly) is no longer prevalent in Great Britain. There are places already in Great Britain where their own country's flag can not be flown for fear of "offending" the touchy sensibilities of the Muslims.
Muslim ladies make up the vast majority of the women in battered women's shelters in Europe. Muslim women (belonging to men of the radicals) often have their genitalila disfigured by their men. Muslim men may sleep with as many women (including "infidel" women) as they want in the name of Allah, whereas Muslim women are killed if they "dishonor" their Muslim husbands. Muslims espousing Jihad wish to bomb and behead us because to them we are infidels. Muslims (remember the "youths" of Paris?) riot and burn cars in Paris. Muslims perpetrate subway bombings in Great Britain. Muslims stab to death homosexuals. Muslims send their children on suicide bombing missions.
Such a culture is not equal to ours and is not one with which we should try to "coexist" (as the current warm and fuzzy bumper sticker naively touts).
How do you coexist with a group that wants to see you dead? By denouncing Christ and accepting Mohammed?
Such acts are not religious, but rather murder in the name of religion.
Such a religion is not to be tolerated or appeased any longer. All Muslims must denounce such actions and turn the perpetrators in to law enforcement before tolerance can be considered.
The only solution is for the Muslims to reform, to swear to such reforms and demonstrate through their actions their sincerity. Either they are for the intimidating and murderous Jihad or they are against it.
Partners-In-Prayer have no obligation to try to refrain from offending the touchy sensibilities of Muslims. I suggest asking anyone we meet who is discovered (and we often can't tell by looking) to be Muslim (men and women and children) if they denounce Jihad as evil. If they admit it is evil of the greatest nature, then we might want to continue in conversation. Otherwise we should avoid them as we would a murderer bent on killing

We as Partners-In-Prayer must hold fast to our belief in the Commandment "thou shalt not kill". We must maintain our belief in conscientious objection even as we pray for the safety of our military.
It is now my sad and disturbing opinion that the United States of America is moving quickly towards a period of anarchy and civil unrest, the likes of which our country has not experienced since the Civil War. The radical left and the radical right are "meeting together at the back door" (to use an analogy often spoken by Barry Farber and other commentators) of totalitarianism. We are already witnessing more and more brutal and senseless murders; shootings of innocent students; shootings of unarmed servicemen at recruiting stations; beatings of citizens at town hall meetings, and the list could go on and on.
The Civilian Security Force being formed by Obama and the Black Panthers being enouraged by Obama are preparing quietly to meet the threat of militant groups which are forming in opposition to the radical changes sweeping our country. There is more and more talk of a "revolt" coming from everyday people. Just look at the ammunition section in the sporting goods section of any Wal-Mart to know that something major is happening. That steps are being taken by those higher up to deprive the fearful citizenry of ammunition for weapons of self-defense.
With the framework of the suspension of elections during a time of national emergency (to be determined by the President) here in the USA already in place (accomplished through unpublished Presidential Executive Orders), we can begin to see that the seeds of dictatorship for our country have already sprouted.
The blatant disregard of public sentiment concerning healthcare reform by the elected representatives of our government is slapping millions of people, who are worried about their loved ones treatment,,, it is slapping them in the face,,, and into an angry frenzy. And, in addition, when Cap and Trade $7 a gallon gas and rationed healthcare start to hit home in a few short years is the time, I fear, that we will see the conflicts start to arise. Make no mistake, Cap and Trade will throw multiple millions more out of work and home, and will send the economy back into the tailspin we have not come out of even yet from the last round of gas price hikes.
It will make little difference that those who are revolting will have no chance of ultimate success. They will be brutally put down with the Civilian Security Force; elections will be suspended; and we will see the emergence of a dictatorship in the hollow form of a multi-term presidency, coupled with a figurehead Congress which cannot be really voted out of office because of voting computer hacking.
"Impossible.", you say??? Look at what is happening around us already. Would we not have said the same thing two years ago about the current happenings?
Please pray with me that I am wrong and that we will not be put in the position of a decision concerning the defense of our family.

In a recent attack magazine article against a prominent anti-abortion leader, the fact that she had given consideration to having an abortion (after learning of her unborn child's condition) was used as a justification for continuing to offer abortions to all women who want them.
Fellow Partners-In-Prayer, let me reassure you that simply because we give consideration to sin; it is NOT the same thing as committing that sin.
In 2Corinthians 10:5 we are encouraged to "bring every thought into the captivity of Christ." This is something we should strive to achieve. That is one reason why we all need God's forgiveness every day of our lives. However, failure to control every thought is not as bad as following through on every thought with the considered action.
The thought of adultery is a sin, and we should ask God's forgiveness for any such thought. But it is not as bad as the action. Ask any husband or wife who has been cheated on.
The thought of rape is a sin, and we should ask God's forgiveness for any such thought. But it is not as bad as the action. Ask any man or woman who has been raped.
In the same manner, the thought of abortion is a sin, and we should ask God's forgiveness for any such thought. But it is not as bad as the action. If we could read the mind of most any woman who has killed her unborn child, I'm certain we would see the truth of this.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST!
Please pray for the people of Israel.
They are facing the fast accelerating threat of annihilation from the Arab countries that surround them.
Iran is being encouraged by the United States to go nuclear for "power production" (ever wondered why the USA can't?)
Anyway,,,,, they will use the nuclear facilities to make nuclear weapons, just like North Korea has done.
To believe otherwise is to stick one's head in the sand.
Iran denies the holocaust and is hell bent on destroying Israel. Their leaders continually state that.
The USA is in effect deserting Israel and (like an adulterous wife) going a whoring after other (Arab) lovers.
To glean a little understanding of the way Israel must presently feel, please imagine the following scenario;
Imagine that your neighbors, two doors down from you, have, over the years, repeatedly told you that they hate you and want to kill you and your entire family.
This has not worried you too much in the past because you could always depend on the police to protect you, but recently the police have started fussing at you and blaming you for the problems with your neighbors because sometimes you let your grass grow too long. The police have started saying that you are causing your neighbors to hate you and to want to kill you.
The police are becoming close friends with your neighbors who want to kill you and your family and are turning their backs on you when it comes to protection.
You've seen your neighbors shaking guns at you, flipping you the bird, shaking red gas cans at you and hollering that they are going to burn you out and shoot you and your family.
The police say that you are endangering the peace of the neighborhood because you don't mow your lawn often enough.
The police suggest that you give your next door neighbors some of your land and maybe they will all like you better. They tell you to mow your lawn more often and quit complaining.
Meanwhile your neighbors continue to stockpile gas and ammo for your destruction. No one else who lives around you wants to be your friend or help you either. They have all fought with you in the past.
Please imagine you are Israel, the police represent the USA government, and the neighbors two doors down represent Iran.
Israel desperately needs our prayers. They are facing nuclear destruction. They are the only democracy in the area. They have been our friends for decades. And we are most probably related to them from centuries back (to the Old Testament times when the tribes of Israel split into two kingdoms). Much of the disputed territory was gained by Israel when the neighboring Palestinians and Arabs attacked Israel to wipe them out. In all the years of peace talks the Arabs have taken NO real steps to stop the calls for Israel's destruction.
The Palestinians and Arabs will play us (the USA) for suckers in helping to bring about Israel's destruction as they gain new areas for staging rocket attacks on the Jews. If Iran takes out Israel and we take out Iran,,,, I guess that would eliminate TWO thorny Middle Eastern problems.
The USA has plenty of its own oil, if we would just drill for it, and plenty of clean coal for electricity if we would just mine it and build electric plants to use it. So energy needs are no excuse for letting the Jews suffer a SECOND holocaust!

As summertime has really arrived (with most kids out of school now), many of us will soon be thinking of trips to the pool and/or beach.
Here is a cool, simple, and healthy way to cut down on a few calories.
Instead of jelly on toast for breakfast, try using banana.
Not sliced banana but rather crushed banana.
That's right!!! There is something about crushing the banana that releases the natural sugars in the fruit and give it a much sweeter flavor. Give it a try and I think you will be surprised at the increased natural sweetness. I sure enjoy it.
Simply peel the banana and put it into a small bowl on the table. When you are ready for your jelly on toast, or even syrup on pancakes, simply take your fork and smush the banana up in the bowl until it becomes creamy. It takes about fifteen seconds.
If you use it like syrup and jelly, you'll have found yourself a way to save quite a few calories while enjoying the healthy benefits of fresh fruit!

If the women who decide to have their child aborted after he has been born (called partial birth abortion) were given the same attention as the Minnesota lady who has fled with her child to avoid chemotherapy, then we would have a truly better world.
The same Minnesota lady who is avoiding chemotherapy for her (poor little) child now (and being vilified for it) would have been defended for her right to kill the same (poor little) child just a few short years ago at the time of his birth.
Where are the nationwide manhunts for the women who are planning abortions?

Where Can You Go For Truth?
Can you go to the government for truth?
1) Well,,, it has been reported on the radio by (I believe it was) the World Health Organization that the swine flu is no worse than any regular flu we have endured in the last many years (every flu is responsible for the deaths of some weak and young).
2) The government wants to label CO2 (carbon dioxide) which is necessary for all plant, and therefore human, life as a pollutant; in order to raise energy costs.
You decide if you can go to the government for truth.
I say, when pigs fly and swine flew.
Can you go to the Catholic Church leadership for truth?
Well,,,, the Pope himself has reinstated a priest (please click here to verify) who was originally defrocked because he denied there was a holocaust.
So the Pope must either believe there was no holocaust and that the reinstated priest's beliefs are right (which makes the Pope a deluded idiot along with the reinstated priest);
or the Pope must believe that the reinstated priest's beliefs are wrong (untruthful) and has reinstated a deluded, idiotic priest anyway (which means the Pope knowingly places liars over his congregations).
And here in the United States the bastion of Catholic belief and education, the leadership of Notre Dame, is honoring a man by giving him an honorary degree whose actions (speaking much louder than his words)
(i.e.; votes to support partial birth abortions, and to kill babies who survive those abortions) whose actions debase one of the very foundational beliefs of the Catholic Church.
You decide if you can go to the Catholic Church leadership for truth.

And with the swine flu being a big concern presently (although it has been reported by the World Health Organization to be no worse than any other flu we've had during the last many years);
Can you go to the leadership of the now defunct, cultish, Herbert W. Armstrong's Worldwide Church of God (whose one of several name changes is the United Church Of God) for truth?
Well,,,, one of United Church of God's leaders, pastor and head honchos, Larry Greider, has his views on who is swine.
While he was pastor of the Florence, SC congregation of the Worldwide Church of God he said, when I asked him if my Mother could attend services while she was visiting me and my wife (and I quote), "I don't cast my pearls before swine." He also similarly refused to allow my wife's Grandmother to attend.
A more appropriate response from Larry would have been, "I don't cast my swine feces, which I often spout during my sermons, before pearls." (If you see him, you can feel free to tell him I said so.)
One of Greider's swine feces was a drunken, beer keg (actually two kegs after the first one gave out another was opened to get anyone so inclined good and drunk), Christmas party. Of course, he doesn't celebrate Christmas (he just plans and sponsors a drunken party on Christmas day). I'll leave out some of the falling down drunk, puking, details of his party.
Another of his swine feces (or pearls, you can decide) Greider spouted during one of his sermons in Florence was that he gave up studying to become a doctor in order to answer the call to become a lowly minister. Many in the congregation (myself included), (believing in the utter truthfulness of God's very own minister) were duly impressed.
When Larry's Dad visited the Florence church a few months later, I mentioned to his Dad how proud he must be that his son gave up becoming a doctor to enter the ministry. Larry's Dad looked at me incredulously and said, "He [Larry] was never studying to become a doctor." Maybe he was studying to be a Dr. Pepper because of the following;
Another of his swine feces (or pearls, you can decide) Greider spouted during one of his "Diet and Exercise" sermons in Florence were the evils of caffeine. He must have spent fifteen minutes on the "evil" subject. The very next week my wife and I saw him guzzling Dr. Pepper at a church picnic.
You could ask Greider if he has repented of telling whoppers during his sermons, or if he still has the same pompous, arrogant, better than the "heathen", and downright demented attitude he maintained during his almost ten years at Florence, and beyond (on a return visit to Fayetteville, NC, when I went up to him to speak he simply looked at me disdainfully while standing in his prissy little gray patent leather shoes and refused to speak). Probably his own shame manifesting itself in self-righteousness.
Perhaps if you are a member of the United Church of God you might try to escape from them before Greider and his backstabbing ilk (which include most ministers [like another Florence-Sumter-Dillon area minister, Steve Pelfrey] many deacons [like Florence area "Deacon B"- Dave Mioduski] and some followers) try to humiliate you in front of your wife while holding eternal death (the Lake Of Fire) over your head to make you submit to the humiliation. If you say anything to try to correct their swine crap sermons and public and private insults (without leaving the church at the same time) make no mistake about it; from my experience, the leaders will try to ruin your life and your marriage and your family!
And if they can make you, the husband, leave in humiliation and your wife stay,,,, then they have themselves another vulnerable "spiritual widow" whose "every need" must be serviced. "According to the scriptures" of course!!!!!!!!!!
I say we can go to the United Church Of God, and other Worldwide Church of God splinter group present and former leadership, for truth
when pigs fly and swine flew.
You can decide.
In my opinion the only thing one ought to consider is whether you want to get your family out right away or yesterday.

You've probably seen the billboards with a picture of a water faucet pouring out water turning into wine, with the caption; Got faith?
I say;
Got faith?
Then let's follow Christ's current example given to us in Mark 14:25 and Luke 22:18,
where Jesus tells us that He will not drink wine until the Kingdom of God is established.
Certainly; we are not living in the Kingdom of God now, are we? Surrounded by murder, crime, increasing poverty and mayhem.
If you decide to follow His current example, you may be rewarded far beyond your expectations!

The root cause of the current economic crisis in the United States (despite what ALL the newscasters/announcers are saying) is rising energy (gasoline, electricity) costs which left many of us without enough money to pay for a mortgage and many extras which we had been buying.
Please let all your friends in Virginia and surrounding states who have AEP (Appalachain Electric Power) that their rates have doubled AGAIN!!!
The rate increase from last year, which was rescinded, has been snuck through again. Even though your friends' and relatives' monthly payment may still be the same right now (because of their budget plan with AEP) their account balance is going up exponentially. When their budget redetermination month rolls around again, they will probably owe from one to two thousand dollars or more!
This could lead to foreclosure on their home.
PLEASE WARN THEM of this new danger which is not being discussed in the news.

Dear Partners-In-Prayer,
I feel it necessary to be the bearer of an unpleasant reminder. It is a crucial reminder for all of us who are concerned with the health of unborn babies.
Fetal alcohol syndrome is (I believe) much more prevalent than reported. Probably many Down Syndrome babies became that way because of alcohol consumption by the mother during a crucial day of pregnancy. And I'm talking about even one drink of alcohol.
We must remember and let the young ladies of childbearing age within our own families and the families of friends be reminded that if they take a drink of alcohol during the first days of conception (and I mean even before the young lady may have any idea that she is pregnant) that she is risking permanent and irreparable damage to her unborn child.
Please remember that when you start to feel the warm buzz of even one drink, if you are pregnant, the embryo (perhaps only a few cells large) has that same alcohol flowing through it.
Male sperm cells have been demonstrated to swim around confusedly (rather than do their job of swimming determinedly to the egg) after a man has consumed alcohol. Just consider for a moment the tiny embryo which is dividing into the parts that will become brain, head, heart, hands, etc. trying to do its job of dividing correctly with alcohol confusing it's God given behavior.
Just one drink consumed by a pregnant woman, especially during the crucial early term of the pregnancy could make a lifetime of difference for her child.
Why risk it? If you or some lady you know has the possibility of becoming pregnant, they should be aware of this information. Unpleasant though it may be to some.
Please let your family and friends be aware of this crucial reminder. Thank you.

P.S. - And concerning those who have suffered the above tragedy within their families already, let us resist the temptation to blame the mother for failing to take care of the health of her unborn baby.
Rather, let us realize that the true blame lies with the alcoholic beverage industry which has failed in the past and continues to fail, to this day, in warning the public of the hidden and unforseen dangers connected with the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
As we begin the New Year of 2009, I would like to share with you a warning for the coming years. In a sense it is a consumer warning, however it may affect your very life and the lives of your loved ones.
It concerns a so-called "new concept" in life insurance which is currently illegal, however there are rich investors who are trying to change the laws to make it legal.
The laws they need to change concern insurable interest. What that simply means is that no one should be able to own a life insurance policy on a person unless they have an interest in seeing the life of the insured person continue. This prevents life insurance from becoming a means to fund a gambling contract for murder.
If insurable interest laws are changed for the following investors' scam, we could see thousands of contracts for murder for profit with the "free life insurance" becoming the way to pay for that to happen.
The following open letter explains the scam. It is a scam that you NEED to be keenly aware of, in order to protect your own life and the lives of your family and loved ones.

As your friend and agent in the insurance industry, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and yours a very happy holiday season and New Year. I want you to know how much I appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you with your insurance. Thank you very much.
I would also like to warn you of something that you might see in the coming years. It is something that sounds too good to be true, and it is. It is sometimes called "free life insurance", or "no-cost life insurance", or "viatical life insurance", or "investor owned life insurance", or "risk-free life insurance", or "stranger owned life insurance". They are all the same thing; and that is; a stranger or "charitable" group of strangers waiting and hoping that the insured senior will die.
Here is how it works. You may be approached by a person who says he/she is representing a group that wants to give you a free, "no-cost" life insurance policy for ten or fifteen thousand dollars as a charitable public service. The group might even be a charity or foundation. Sounds great doesn't it!
Here is the catch. You must give ownership of the policy to the charity or group even though you can name a beneficiary for the promised life insurance. The policy is then written for an amount of insurance two or three times the amount that will go to your beneficiary. The investor charity or group makes its money back when you die. AND FOR THE INVESTORS (or charity) WHO OWN THE POLICY; THE SOONER YOU DIE THE BETTER, because that is when they make their money for "giving" you the "free life insurance"! For instance; your beneficiary may get the fifteen thousand dollars but the investing or charity group will get thirty or forty thousand dollars or more at your death. That is why they are willing to "give" you the fifteen thousand dollars of life insurance.
Fears of this illegal scheme being approved have arisen again recently. There are investors who want to gamble on your life and who are currently trying to get it approved in your state. Thankfully, it is not approved yet. I know that I, for one, do not want any person I don't even know, waiting and hoping I will die soon. We all know what that can lead to. Even your worst enemy could end up with the policy on you (by purchasing it from the charity or group) because you would not be the owner of it!
You can rest assured that you or a loved one is the OWNER of the coverage you bought through me. All of the money at the time of your death will go to those you've named whom you love and who love you. Those who (like me) want you to live as long and as happily as possible.
There is no need for you to worry, because now you are aware of the scheme. Please simply be aware and let your friends know of this scheme so that you and they will not be tricked into any "free life insurance" that will have investor strangers hoping and gambling you will die soon.

If you have been reading the following books, as I suggested below, then you might be curious as to the direction I am taking concerning the information contained in them.
These books show that my (and many other's) idea, that most of the Bible is the exact and total words of God which must be harmonized with each other, has been off the mark.
We will discuss it in more detail in the future, however for the present let me give you the general direction from which to approach the undeniable portion of information contained in the books.
If we were to think of the words of the Bible as creating a picture of God's plans and instructions for mankind; then we would need to consider the picture to be a beautiful water-color painting rather than a 5.0 megapixel photograph.
It is really that simple.
Have you been concerned about the literature and movies coming out in the last few years which attack the integrity of the Bible? Are you reconsidering belief in evolution and a Godless creation as a result? Have you read the books, "Misquoting Jesus" and "Truth and Fiction In The Da Vinci Code"?
If you haven't read them, I would suggest doing so. These books contain information which will shake you to the core of your belief in the integrity of the Bible. After you've had some time to read these books we will discuss their impact on our beliefs if we accept the information contained within them as being by and large true.
As you read them, do not become afraid. Think of the following question from time to time as you read those books.
What would modern day, average people call an angel, appearing to them in its glory, if they were mistaken in their conception of an angel looking like a winged man or woman clothed in white?
Do not become alarmed at what you read. If God grants, I will share with you the truth and it WILL CONTINUE to make you free. And the ridiculousness of evolution will still be just as ridiculous.

When the Bible was written, including both Old and New Testaments, there were no printing presses and no digital media storage. Printing presses and digital media storage enable (although not guarantee) the easy transfer of written material between individuals with no changes whatsoever.
That means that human beings (often called scribes) were employed to make copies of written works, including those contained in the Bible. These human beings had personal agendas and were employed by human beings with personal agendas. That means that even original and authentic works were often changed, by addition or subtraction of written material, in sometimes minor and sometimes major ways.
The Partners-In-Prayer, as many of the longtime members are aware, have long believed that much of the Old Testament was written not in exact scientific terms but rather in story form. This makes the concepts much easier to grasp and often turns what would be incomprehensible to even the most advanced modern day scientists into something easy to remember.
For instance; Genesis is not a scientific treatise on creation. Can you imagine God trying to teach the uneducated masses of humanity that in creating the birds he wrapped one deoxyribose nucleic acid strand with another ribose nucleic acid strand, placing two molecules of lysine next to each other in the five hundred and sixty sixth and seventh positions to create the migrating instinct in the minds of geese? (a made up example but you get the point)
So the Partners-In-Prayer have long believed that the Bible is not necessarily the "exact" word of God. Now we have additonal knowledge available concerning the Bible and how it was changed as it was handed down. Let's let the Bible itself reveal what we are talking about:
In Jeremiah 8: 8 we read,
"How can you say, “We are wise,
for we have the law of the LORD,”
when actually the lying pen of the scribes
has handled it falsely?"
That's the Old Testament. What about the New?
In 2Thessalonians 2 we read of false letters claiming to have been written by Paul which were already circulating around even in Paul's own time: "1Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come"
This should not be a cause for concern but rather a cause for joy!
For a long time I have wondered in my own mind how would I be able to explain some of the inconsistencies in the New Testament to you if I were to read it to you. For instance in the first letter purported to be from Paul to the Corinthians;
It is first written that Paul instructs women who speak in church to do so with their heads covered:
I Corinthians 11:5
"5And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is just as though her head were shaved"
A few pages later in what is purported to be the same letter from Paul, he says
in I Corinthians 14:
"As in all the congregations of the saints, 34women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church."
So which is it? Should women be silent or talk with their heads covered?
How can a discrepancy like that be rationally harmonized? It can't.
That's why this realization is GOOD! and should increase our faith rather than shipwreck it.
Regardless of who wrote the original letter, someone added something to it.
Now as far as going to church goes------ If I didn't want to hear a woman speak, I wouldn't attend a church where they were permitted to speak. If I didn't care whether or not they spoke, I wouldn't worry about it. Either way it is not what our salvation hinges on.
Our salvation hinges on faith in God and Christ and in the resurrection. Christ's resurrection must be accepted on faith. There are no first hand, surving, written, eyewitness accounts.
The proof of God's existence lies in the creation. There is more computing power in the head of one tiny BIRD than in the most sophisticated computer technology in existence today! And some educated ingnoramuses want to claim that happens by accident. BULL!!!
Man is puny compared to God. Man can't even tell us if it is going to rain or snow the NEXT DAY with reliable certainty, much less the temperature the next fifty years.
Let us bow before our mighty God in our prayers and worhip Him knowing that He has left us with a broad outline, a beautiful watercolor, depicting a righteous way of life that is controlled by love for all others.
And let us hold fast to the hope of receiving the rewards of right living, forgiveness, and the gift of eternal life that He has promised us for striving after His ways.

As you begin to look into the works of Bart D. Ehrman, the author of "Misquoting Jesus" and "Truth And Fiction In The Da Vinci Code", please take a moment to listen to this brief warning concerning Bart Ehrman. We can learn from his learning, but we also need to beware of a major shortcoming in his understanding (highly educated though he is) so that we are not deceived by him.
For this year's Thanksgiving, in order to make it a memorable and meaningful one for us, in addition to thinking of our own blessings for which we should be thankful; let us take a moment to consider a way to make this Thanksgiving a little better for someone or some family who is suffering.
Let the person or family know that it is YOU (even if they don't recognize your name) who is showing some little act of kindness to make their suffering a little more bearable this Thanksgiving. YOUR act of kindness may be just the one that turns this Thanksgiving from being one of misery, into one with a ray of hope for that person or family.
Let your name bring glory to God by some little act of kindness. It need only take a few minutes.
If we do so, I am certain that it will help us to have a wonderful Thanksgiving because we can enjoy the knowledge of having given our small gift of kindness, and thus make our own blessings something extra.

If the Jews are to be despised as "Christ Killers" and if they are thus deserving of the persecution of which they have been the targets for so many years because of the fact that they were responsible for Christ's crucifixion,
then the Jesus we worship is not God!!!
For it would mean that in Luke 23:33, where Christ prayed to the Father asking Him to "forgive them because they don't know what they were doing", God refused to answer His own Son's prayer to forgive not only the Romans but also the Jews, who were ultimately responsible for what was done to Jesus.
Do we not, rather, owe the Jews a debt of gratitude?
If the New Testament scriptures are worth heeding, then we do owe them!!!
For we read in John 4:22 ("for salvation is of the Jews") and Romans 11:11("but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles") that our own salvation has come to us because of the Jews.
As anti-Semitism continues to rear its ugly head, let us, the Partners-In-Prayer, realize that, as in all prejudice, it is simply and plainly that:
PREJUDICE!!!
And that it cannot be justified with God's Will as revealed in the Bible.

There was an excellent letter to the editor in the August 22nd, 2007 edition of the Roanoke Times by George J. Palmerio concerning the current furor over a sports figure accused of dog fighting and abuse. In his letter, Mr. Palmerio reminds us that abortion is a much worse crime.
We should beware of the feelings of self-righteousness and revulsion that can overwhelm us concerning dog abuse while at the same time we stand idly and quietly by when it comes to abortion. To tolerate human abortion while condemning dog abuse is cavalier to say the least. It is downright hypocritical in my opinion.
We need to be aware that oftentimes abortion supporters are the most vocal opponents of animal abuse.
While I am not justifying animal abuse by any means, we need to be aware that our minds often subconsciously seek refuge from the deep down realization of the HORROR of aborting and murdering unborn babies by taking up animal rights, vegetarianism and "tree hugging" as high sounding "moral" causes. Not everyone involved in such causes,,,, but OFTEN.
While neither animal abuse nor human abortion is right;
neither is stealing a loaf of bread or stealing a family's life savings.
There ARE huge degrees of difference, however, in both comparisons.
If it weren't so serious, it would be laughable to contemplate the juxtaposition of imprisoning a dog killer, and the cocktail party blather treatment of a rich abortionist (baby killer).
I am certain that, from God's point of view, someone who tolerates abortion is a far more mentally sick individual than one who tolerates animal abuse.
I thank Mr. Palmerio for reminding us to keep a Godly perspective!!!

PISSED ON FROM THE PULPIT!
Is your preacher ready or preparing to "piss on you from the pulpit"?
One might respond, "What a coarse question!"
The Bible uses the word, so it's good enough for me, too. (I Samuel 25:22)
As far as the question itself, I've witnessed and heard of it happening in the Worldwide Church of God and by extension the spin-offs of the now defunct church.
BEWARE! It is a tactic used especially on the men of the church! If you fall out of favor, if the minister needs to cover up his own sin (or the sin of his lackey deacons), or the minister needs to justify his decision to pass you up to promote someone else (to deacon, etc.) you are liable to get pissed on from the pulpit.
I know,,,, it has happened to me.
It happens when you are deliberately humiliated in front of the other members of the church and in particular, your wife, during a sermon or other "church" address. Often given with the fig leaf cover of "no names were mentioned". (Of course, enough identifying information is given out so that there is no doubt as to whom "God's minister" is referring to.)
So much for building strong family relationships. That's lip service paid to a noble idea.
The reality of those "churches" is and has been:
1. Trap a man in his weakness. (Larry Greider, now a highly placed leader of the United Church of God, went so far as to provide large keg after large keg of beer at a drunken, drink as much as you want, beer bust, NON-Christmas [what a joke] party held on Christmas Day to induce those with a drinking weakness into drunkenness. [One man got drunk, fell down, and puked all over. A couple of years later she left her husband for some other guy in the church.])
2. Humiliate him in front of his wife and the "church".
3. Destroy his marriage and standing in the "church".
I know of a man who was told by the minister (after exhibiting the courage to give a speech in front of others in the "church") that his eyes looked like two pee holes in the snow. It's hard to say why the destructive, hateful, Ambassador College Pasadena educated, officially "ordained", "God's minister" did that, but a good guess is that the "God's minister" probably wanted to get into the man's wife's panties or cover up an officially "ordained" "God's deacon" having done so.
That poor man was faced with what he believed was the only choice of either "consigning himself to the lake of fire" by telling the "minister" to go jump in his own cess pool or remaining in a "church" with everyone snickering at him and feeling sorry for his wife (that she is married to such a pitiful man and undoubtedly needing some "spiritual widow service" from the minister and/or deacons).
Another "minister" attacked the evils of masturbation (spiritual adultery) in a sermon having the effect of justifying literal adultery with women in the church (probably his own adultery included as a baby was born to an attractive, married woman, who had the minister's eye and whose husband was not in the church [a "spiritual widow"] about nine months later, which bore a striking resemblance to the "minister". Somehow I doubt that the woman's husband was glad that the minister didn't sin terribly by masturbating and instead was a "real man" like King David and abused his power as a minister and had some real sex with his wife.).
The twisted thinking goes; Well, if the husband is masturbating then his wife has needs that aren't being met, so the minister and/or deacons need to provide that service. And because all sin is worthy of death, even if the literal adultery is a little sin (according to a joke circulated by a former preacher of the WWCG, Kenneth Smiley, it is the "world's littlest sin; flea [flee] fornication"), it is just as bad or worse to masturbate (maybe worse to masturbate because a real man would only have real sex.). So according to the twisted thinking it is just as bad a sin to masturbate (not that masturbation is right) as it is to screw someone else's wife and impregnate her if you can. And probably not a sin at all if her husband is not in the church (i.e., if she's a "spiritual widow") and having sex with her can be justified under the pretext of satisfying the needs of the widow! And, after all, King David had lots of concubines. That's how the twisted thinking goes.
Somehow I doubt the husband of the woman would agree that a church deacon or minister screwing his wife was no worse than that same church leader masturbating.
If you heard of the husband walking into church services and shooting the minister and others (that happened up north a few years ago), similar reasons almost surely exist (not that the shooting is right). This sex orgy teaching is and has been the nuanced teaching of these churches for years!
If you are addicted to alcohol, those churches subtly teach with great nuance, have at it!!! During the Feast of Booths (booze) you can stay half drunk for an entire week! Don't fall down and puke though because that is bad and will necessitate a pissing on from the pulpit by "God's minister".
If you are addicted to sex, have at that!!! Any time is good for that just so you "don't get caught"! Keep reading to see why.
Take your pick, or mix and match, illicit sex and drinking, and for good measure top it off with the self-righteous feeling that you are keeping God's Holy Days and Laws! That you are one of God's chosen people. It is yours for the taking at one of the Herbert W. Armstrong, WWCG modeled churches. They are sorta like a bar, an orgy party, and a church all rolled into one, and supposedly with God's blessing and inspiration to boot! (not that there aren't many sincere individual church members who are deceived by the whole stinking mess).
Just be sure to send in your first and third tithes and your "excess" second tithe. And if you start to get into trouble from having sex with the women, just let the minister know and he'll find something to piss on the woman's husband about from the pulpit and threaten him with the lake of fire. Even if he has to make up some idiotic, insulting thing like his eyes look like two pee holes in the snow.
Please don't allow yourself to be deceived by that deceptive and erroneous line of thinking!!! And remember it is safer not to associate with those who do think that way any more than is absolutely necessary.
I personally heard a deacon say to a group of other "deacons" including Winston Davis and his father, Gordon Davis, who was a "local elder" ( a local elder is one of the highest levels a lay member can rise to in churches like United Church of God, Philadelphia Church Of God, Church of the Great God, and the former Worldwide Church of God) while standing around and bragging in a laughing, joking manner that (in reference to literal adultery) he was of the "old school" which was "Don't get caught. ha, ha, ha". All the "deacons" and the "elder" laughed and thought that was very funny. I did not laugh. I was shocked and upset. I guess it goes to show how stupid, naive, and trusting I was at the time of "God's true people" (God's true people,, BULL!!! We were no more "God's true people" than the next man. And probably less so because of all the hypocrisy and self-righteousness.) The "deacon" who made that "joke" went on to become a leader in one of "God's true (yeah right)" splinter groups after the Worldwide Church of God fell apart.
The local elder, Gordon Davis (now deceased), and his deacon son, Winston, became leaders in Gerald Flurrie's Philadelphia Church of God (now publishing the PT, Philadelphia Trumpet magazine). Winston Davis once made the comment in my presence after I and others had been pissed on from the pulpit, that he surely "didn't want the minister up there talking about him." Winston Davis' comment gives an independent verification of the purpose and title of this article.
So, if you know any men (or married women) in one of the splinter groups (or any other "church" which practices such humiliation) you need to warn them that at any time the leadership is liable to turn on them or their husband and decide they need to be
PISSED ON FROM THE PULPIT!
The good news is that you don't have to put up with that sort of crap. Christ preached the good news of a personal relationship with God which leads to a full life now and salvation in the future.
You can be a part of the Partners-In-Prayer.org and by your personal belief and personal relationship with God, rest assured that God will help you and save you and grant you eternal life.
You don't have to be part of any organized religion, WWCG splinter group or any other for that matter. Read on and soak in the truth. It's not complicated.

During the years prior to the splintering of the Worldwide Church of God, drinking to excess was not only enabled, but subtly encouraged. John Ritenbaugh, pastor of the Columbia, SC congregation of the WWCG (now leader of Church of the Great God) said and I quote, referring to you and Alexander The Great, "You might get drunk too, if you had as much on your mind as he did!"
What one of us does not have a lot on our minds?
The "Holy" Days were not so subtly referred to as drunken revelries by joke. For instance many ministers called (and laughed about) the Feast Of Booths as the Feast Of Booze. A required yearly trip away from family (My Mother was called "swine" by Larry Greider (now with United Church Of God) and refused attendance at church for no reason other than she was not a member of the cult. Sure you could bring them anyways, but with such a blatantly hateful attitude who would want to? The ministers got away with crap like that because of the lake of fire threat against the members. Anyone who says otherwise is either lying to you or doesn't know what he is talking about.) and job, where the drinking of liquor, wine and beer was encouraged and joked about. The splinter churches still encourage the attendance of the Feast Of "Booze".
You need to ask yourself if it is more Christian to associate with those who subtly encourage indulging in drunken revelries in order to collect tithes or be with your family. Then leave that church behind. Turn to your family. Don't let them frighten you with consignment to the Lake Of Fire. Simply hold fast in your heart your own personal belief and trust in God. May I burn in the lake of fire myself if such a decison to leave one of those churches would consign you to the Lake Of Fire. It is simply a threat to keep getting your money.
And if you are having a hard time with alcohol, don't try to justify it. Recognize it as a problem and now matter how many times you fall while trying to rectify the problem, get up and try again.

The horses are giving them an early ride to the nursing home with cirrhotically caused dementia.
In addition, in my opinion (formed over a twenty year experience inside the church) illicit sexual relations were subtly encouraged to be had between members, members and the ministers, and members and the deacons.
Jokes were told from the pulpit by the ministry such as; "What is the world's littlest sin? Flee [flea] fornication." Which is a joking reference to I Corinthians 6:18.
In my opinion (formed over a twenty year association with the Worldwide Church Of God), deacons and ministers were often chosen for their sexual prowress. Deacons were instructed from the pulpit to "fill every need" especially those of the "spiritual widows" (married women in the church whose husbands were not members).
One minister (who shall remain nameless to protect the women) cut short (by several hours) attendance at an out of town choir workshop. He was riding with an attractive married woman in the church. I could feel the sexual tension as we all stopped for a bite to eat at a restaurant after we left the still ongoing workshop. No reason was given for leaving early other than the minister wanted to.
Afterwards we all went home about equidistant from the restaurant. Or so I thought. The group riding in my car, did so. I had occasion to call the minister's house to speak with the minister several hours later. The minister's wife said he had not gotten home yet. I thought it strange at the time.
In another event concerning the same minister, back in the early nineties there was a summer camp at a lake. The lake was shallow near the shore and nice for swimming or wading. The same minister involved in the choir workshop incident, at the summer camp for the kids with adult volunteers helping, put me in charge of cleaning up the boys' barracks where the boys, male volunteers, and he were staying.
All mattresses had to be stacked in one area of the barracks that morning before leaving. All lost clothing was being put in a pile at a main area of the camp so that it could be sorted through before everyone left (enabling parents picking up their kids to sort and find missing articles of clothing).
As I moved the minister's mattress to stack it, I found stuffed under it a soaking wet red tee shirt. It looked to me like the tee shirt worn the day before by an attractive married woman volunteering to help at the camp. So, being the gullible and naive duty bound church member, I took the soaking red tee shirt up to the pile of clothes and placed it on the pile. I can still recall the muffled gasps from some of the members standing around as I placed the soaking red tee shirt (obviously adult sized) on the pile of lost and found clothing.
No one accused me. I guess because to do so they would have had to accuse the woman, too. However, in retrospect, an older man whom I particularly liked and respected, subsequently became hostile toward me for what I could perceive as no apparent reason.
In any event, until now, I have never specifically defended myself from that occurrence which had very bad appearances.
In another instance with a different minister, a young attractive, single female was fixing to move from the area and probably thus to leave the church. I got the distinct impression from the minister during a private conversation that he was encouraging me to quickly "befriend" her to keep her from moving. I did not comply with the request. I was married.
I was never made deacon, to the dismay of some of the other gullible ones like myself. I now look back at the fact that I was never made deacon or asked to attend Ambassador College (although in my gullibility I applied back in 1981 with a high SAT score), as being a tremendous deliverance by God. It would have probably entirely wrecked my life.
One young man was accepted to attend Ambassador College. He went out to California for the beginning of the school year. He only attended about a week or so, quit school, drove back home, and shot himself, the same day, in the head in Sumter, SC.
There was another suicide by a kind member who sold Bibles in Columbia, SC.
Once in Hartsville, SC, in my efforts to coordinate and encourage the distribution helpers of the Plain Truth magazine, I knocked unannounced at the home of one of the PT distributors. There was no answer or sound from within the unmarried man's apartment. There were two cars outside the small apartment so I knew he had to be in there. So, in my naivete, I knocked harder. In a few minutes he came to the door and I asked to come in for a minute. I was reluctantly allowed entrance.
Another man from the church was in there and the two men and bed were all disheveled. I didn't stay long as it was very uncomfortable.
A few weeks later, the fiftyish man living in Hartsville was dead. I was told he dropped dead with no warning. I only know for sure that he died.
In another incident, a married church member with an attractive wife, rented a motel room and apparently hung himself in the motel room near his home in the middle nineties.
This culture of debauchery is being perpetuated in the splinter groups of the Worldwide Church Of God. It is not all inclusive of all the members. To the naive and gullible ones like myself, this goes on and is encouraged at the fringes of perception.
With the exception of meeting my wonderful, and tolerant wife, I view my entanglement with the Worldwide Church Of God as one of the worst mistakes of my life. It could be compared to a smorgasbord with both good and evil there for the taking. I would not entertain for a moment the option of continuing in a similar church. For some it is like an addiction from which they can't break away.
A sincere and personal relationship with God, striving to keep His ways, studying the Bible and reading here at the Partners-In-Prayer.org, the truth!!! will enable all the good benefits of a Christian life while avoiding the association with what I feel to be almost unspeakable bigotry, hatred, hypocrisy and evil. This conclusion has been reached over a thirty year period,,, twenty of which were in an extremely close, weekly (often daily) naive association with the Worldwide Church Of God. The splinter groups are perpetuating the same culture.

The horses are giving them an early ride to the nursing home with cirrhotically caused dementia.
In addition, in my opinion (formed over a twenty year experience inside the church) illicit sexual relations were subtly encouraged to be had between members, members and the ministers, and members and the deacons.
Jokes were told from the pulpit by the ministry such as; "What is the world's littlest sin? Flee [flea] fornication." Which is a joking reference to I Corinthians 6:18.
In my opinion (formed over a twenty year association with the Worldwide Church Of God), deacons and ministers were often chosen for their sexual prowress. Deacons were instructed from the pulpit to "fill every need" especially those of the "spiritual widows" (married women in the church whose husbands were not members).
One minister (who shall remain nameless to protect the women) cut short (by several hours) attendance at an out of town choir workshop. He was riding with an attractive married woman in the church. I could feel the sexual tension as we all stopped for a bite to eat at a restaurant after we left the still ongoing workshop. No reason was given for leaving early other than the minister wanted to.
Afterwards we all went home about equidistant from the restaurant. Or so I thought. The group riding in my car, did so. I had occasion to call the minister's house to speak with the minister several hours later. The minister's wife said he had not gotten home yet. I thought it strange at the time.
In another event concerning the same minister, back in the early nineties there was a summer camp at a lake. The lake was shallow near the shore and nice for swimming or wading. The same minister involved in the choir workshop incident, at the summer camp for the kids with adult volunteers helping, put me in charge of cleaning up the boys' barracks where the boys, male volunteers, and he were staying.
All mattresses had to be stacked in one area of the barracks that morning before leaving. All lost clothing was being put in a pile at a main area of the camp so that it could be sorted through before everyone left (enabling parents picking up their kids to sort and find missing articles of clothing).
As I moved the minister's mattress to stack it, I found stuffed under it a soaking wet red tee shirt. It looked to me like the tee shirt worn the day before by an attractive married woman volunteering to help at the camp. So, being the gullible and naive duty bound church member, I took the soaking red tee shirt up to the pile of clothes and placed it on the pile. I can still recall the muffled gasps from some of the members standing around as I placed the soaking red tee shirt (obviously adult sized) on the pile of lost and found clothing.
No one accused me. I guess because to do so they would have had to accuse the woman, too. However, in retrospect, an older man whom I particularly liked and respected, subsequently became hostile toward me for what I could perceive as no apparent reason.
In any event, until now, I have never specifically defended myself from that occurrence which had very bad appearances.
In another instance with a different minister, a young attractive, single female was fixing to move from the area and probably thus to leave the church. I got the distinct impression from the minister during a private conversation that he was encouraging me to quickly "befriend" her to keep her from moving. I did not comply with the request. I was married.
I was never made deacon, to the dismay of some of the other gullible ones like myself. I now look back at the fact that I was never made deacon or asked to attend Ambassador College (although in my gullibility I applied back in 1981 with a high SAT score), as being a tremendous deliverance by God. It would have probably entirely wrecked my life.

God grants man requesting prayers more time with his loved ones and a miraculous recovery from cancer. He was near death in intensive care and is now back at work! He expressed heartfelt thanks for all prayers.

With cold weather right around the corner and we begin to winterize our cars by checking the antifreeze protection level in the radiator, let's be sure to remember the windshield washer fluid!
We need to make sure the windshield washer reservoir contains WINTER FORMULA washer solvent. Summer formula usually has no freezing protection at all. Even if we happen to live in a southern area, let's make sure we are thoroughly protected in case we happen to travel into another state where the winter temperatures often drop well below freezing!

As we prepare for "back to school", can we make this year a
"I didn't catch a cold all year." year?
Well,,,, here is one suggestion that may help.
As cold weather approaches and we have to wipe a runny nose, or block a sneeze with our hand,
let's take a moment to wash our hands afterwards. Preferably with detergent. (Detergent kills most viruses. If you use liquid hand soap you can mix a little dish detergent in the dispensing bottle with it.)
The reason for this, which might seem a little excessive, is that our nose is an amazing filtering mechanism which God has given us.
Our nose filters the air we breathe, which (especially in a school environment) contains numerous viruses and traps them in mucous inside our nose. If we clean our nose with a tissue and throw the tissue away without touching it,,,, that's fine. If a little gets on our hands and finds it way to our lunch cake,,,, then its possible that a virus can find its way into our bodies as we eat the cake.
In addition, we need to be careful as we use the tissue to clean our nose, that we don't tear the delicate lining inside our nose with a fingernail or whatever. If we happen to tear the lining, we open a gateway for any cold virus floating in the air to make it straight into our bloodstream.
Of course, all the above precautions do not guarantee that we won't catch a cold this year. However, the principle is true and the precautions will certainly help.

Do you recall the tragedy, which occurred a while back, when the husband of a female member of the Worldwide Church Of God entered church services in the northern midwest (Chicago, I believe) and shot the minister and others?
If you have wondered as to the "why" of such an occurrence, please consider the following facts to arrive at a possible (if not probable) explanation:
Quite simply, the Worldwide Church of God used to preach that deacons (and ministers) were charged with the responsibility of "meeting every need of the widows". That was stated in just those words without further explanation.
Couple that statement with the fact that married women members of the congregation, whose husbands were not members, were considered to be "spiritual widows". Of course, these "spiritual widows" were to have every need ministered to, as well.
You can begin to see the culture which arose out of such open teachings. These policies, of course, tend to hold women in the congregation, and thus their contributions.
Today in 2006 there are many splinter churches from the WWCG which splintered off to preserve and continue these type of control teachings such as; The United Church Of God (Robert Dick & Aaron Dean), Church Of The Living God (Roderick Meredith), Philadelphia Church Of God (Gerald Flurry), and Church Of The Great God (John Ritenbaugh), just to name a few.
I doubt such policies and teachings are confined to former WWCG splinter groups as I have heard a member of another church speak of "universal need" (everybody needs it) and I hope this will help you to be aware of such teachings and their ultimate effects.
If you know members of these churches, a heads-up warning to them might be in order since they might quite possibly be unaware of the policy, although the warning will probably be useless.

Attitude!
How important is attitude?
It is seemingly so small and insignificant that it is often compared to a drop in a pond of water.
With only small ripples of consequence.
How important is attitude?
It changed the question for the Titanic from:
Will the Titanic collide with an iceberg? to:
With which iceberg will the Titanic collide?
That's right, folks. Something which is too often an invisible part of the human spirit; An attitude of arrogance.
The myth perpetuated throughout history and continued with the otherwise outstanding 1997 movie, "Titanic", is that the ship collided with a lone iceberg in an otherwise empty sea.
The truth is that the Titanic collided with one of dozens of icebergs (after numerous warnings) within visual distance of a ship named the Californian. The Californian had warned the Titanic just forty five minutes prior to the collision that they were "stopped and surrounded by ice". The Californian was at a point almost directly on the Titanic's course.
To which the Titanic's wireless operator responded, "Shut up! We are busy working Cape Race. [sending wireless messages for the passengers]" After this humiliating reply,,,, the Captain and crew of the Californian shut off the wireless and despondantly went to bed. Some of the Californian's crew reportedly watched the Titanic's flares from their deck. Such actions, albeit bordering on criminal, were an almost direct result of the arrogant attitude displayed by the Titanic's crew.
It was at that moment,,, that the fate of the Titanic was all but sealed. At that point, the Titanic needed a miracle to miss every iceberg of the pack into which they were heading at full speed.

This is an indication (since the Titanic struck the berg on her starboard side) that the photo was taken from the "pack side" of the iceberg looking out from the pack toward the direction from which the Titanic came. Other photos from the wreck site confirm the reports that icebergs were "all around".

During this time of Thanksgiving 2005, let's thank God for our good health, if we are blessed to have it. And let's remember with compassion and concern those who are presently suffering ill health, remembering that nothing; not money, not fame, not power, replaces the blessing of good health.
Let's also be thankful that we have a knowledge of the truth, for the truth too, is priceless. If ever we should begin to doubt the fact that our beliefs are true and that the premise upon which mainstream Christianity's beliefs are based is false!!!
Let's remember that one of the major premises upon which mainstream Christianity is built is that those who reject the message of Christ in this life are eternally condemned.
If such a premise is true, then hitler was doing God a favor in killing the Jews.
And we know whether that is true or not.

For a cold, tasty, perfect for the hot summertime, fruit drink;
TRY A FRUIT FROTHY!!!
It's simple to make (takes about five minutes) and it's good for you! Here's all you do:
Take half an apple
and cut it in half (no need to peel it, just cut the seeds out of the
quarters),
half a banana (over ripe, but not spoiled, bananas that are about ready to be thrown away
because they are too soft to hold and eat still make great Fruit Frothy),
some grapes if you have them,
half a peeled orange if you have one,
some apple juice if you have any,
any other fruit or fruit juice you have around,
and put them in the blender and add around a cup or so of milk (you don't need to be exact).

because they are too soft to hold and eat still make great Fruit Frothy),
some grapes if you have them,

any other fruit or fruit juice you have around,

Pretty much just whatever you have around in the way of fruit and juice until your blender is about half full (including the milk). Turn the blender on and let it blend for about thirty seconds. Apple peels and grape skins get chopped up so small they become drinkable as well.
Fill a tall glass with ice cubes and stop the blender. Add a few cubes at a time (stopping the blender each time) to the mixture and let the blender (make sure it can handle ice cubes) crush the cubes until you've added the entire glass full of ice. Then let the blender run at full speed for another half a minute.
This should create an almost full blender of Fruit Frothy. Experiment with adding ice cream!
It's a healthy summertime cold drink and a great way to beat this year's global warming!!!
I enjoy Fruit Frothy even after global warming let's up in the fall and global cooling sets in!!!

4. VOILA!!! You've just turned an inexpensive snack into something your dog will love to munch on!

The Following Is An Important Health Message Which May Extend Your Life By Many Years:

Another Mainstream Christianity Church Sign Proclaims:
"To Fail To Decide For Christ, Is To Decide Against
Christ."
Is
that statement true? If we fail to make a decision for Christ
now,
in this life, are we deciding against Him and turning our backs on
Him,,,, thereby condemning ourselves?
I haven't been inside the churches displaying that sign to hear their justification for saying that, but I imagine they would quote Matthew 12:30 where Christ said, "He who is not with me is against me, and he who is not gathering with me, doth scatter."
Well then, what about the statement made by Christ in Mark 9: 40 and in Luke 9:50, "for he who is not against us is for us;". The statement appears contradictory to Matthew 12:30.
Biblical scoffers will say, "Look, you can use the Bible to prove anything you want!!"
Is that statement true? Are the scoffers correct?
The answer to both statements (i.e., the church sign and the scoffer's remark) is that they are false, if the related scriptures are viewed in their intended context!!!
First let's look at the context of the Bible passage in Matthew, and then examine the context of the passages in Mark and Luke.
First of all, the context of the passage in Matthew 12:30 is of Christ defending Himself of the charge, by the religious leaders of the day, that Christ was casting out demons by the power of the Devil. In effect they were saying that Christ was working "undercover" for the Devil.
The intended meaning of Christ's response, "He who is not with me is against me", can readily be understood by looking at a modern negative example, and then following up with a positive example.
Here is the negative example; Elohim City was a militant, religious group in Oklahoma during the early to mid 1990's that helped to plan and execute the Murrah Federal Building Bombing on April 19, 1995. Linda Howe was an undercover agent working for the Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms division of the U.S. government and was working (by informing on them) against Elohim City while pretending to be with them.
Thus, in the context of undercover work, Linda Howe, who was not with Elohim City (in reality), was against Elohim City and tried to prevent the bombing! Even though she appeared to be for Elohim City. Here we see the meaning of Matthew 12:30. "He who is not with me is against me" Linda Howe was against Elohim City.
Let's continue with the same negative example. The ATF and the FBI were notified of the planned bombing yet did nothing to prevent the bombing (except warn their own agents to not come in to work on the morning of April 19th, 1995). Here we can discern the meaning of Christ's, seemingly contradictory statement in Mark and Luke, "for he who is not against us is for us;".
Thus, in the context of actions and deeds (or omission of them, such as failing to arrest the known planners of the bombing), because the FBI and ATF did not act against Elohim City, they were, in fact, for Elohim City and the bombing which occurred. The FBI and ATF did not act against Elohim City so they were for Elohim City. "for he who is not against us is for us;"
Now let's look at Christ's two apparently conflicting statements in Matthew and Mark in positive examples which mirror Christ's discussion of religious beliefs.
In Matthew 12: 30 a good example would be what the Bible refers to as "false brethren" (II Corinthians 11:26, "in perils among false brethren;"). These false brethren, working undercover, appear to be for Christ but are not with Him and are thus actually against Him. "He who is not with me is against me" A modern day example of a false brother/sister would be one who appears to heal people through Christ, but is actually deceiving his audience by using paid actors to pretend to be sick and then healed. Such a person is actually against Christ and the truth for which He stands. Another example would be a mainstream Christianity preacher of today proving himself to be a false brother or sister by saying that the Partners-In-Prayer.org is a work of the Devil.
In the seemingly contradictory Mark and Luke statement by Christ, I could use my own Mother as an example. She once told me that she could not follow or be part of my beliefs (the beliefs of the Partners-In-Prayer.org) because her entire life had been built around the beliefs of mainstream Christianity. Yet she was not against my beliefs because of their fruits in my life. Thus, by not being against Christ's true church (even though she remained a part of mainstream Christianity), she was for Christ's true church. "for he who is not against us is for us;"
Thus we can see that people of all faiths can be for Christ's true church, the Partners-In-Prayer.org, by simply not working against us! And they can be a part of Christstruechurch.org, while remaining in their current church affilliation, by simply believing and mentally asking Christ to accept their belief.
"He who is not with me is against me" & "for he who is not against us is for us;", both are true and not contradictory when taken in their proper context.
Christ Himself, with His very own words, proves the current mainstream Christianity's church sign false, "To Fail To Decide For Christ, Is To Decide Against Christ."
In truth it should read,
"To Fail To Decide For Christ (as long as one doesn't work against Christ), is to still be FOR Christ!!!"
And the scoffers who say that you can prove anything by the Bible, don't understand the true meaning of the scriptures. The scoffers should rather say, in order to be truthful,,,, that
"The Bible can be misused to prove anything you want."

First of all, the context of the passage in Matthew 12:30 is of Christ defending Himself of the charge, by the religious leaders of the day, that Christ was casting out demons by the power of the Devil. In effect they were saying that Christ was working "undercover" for the Devil.
The intended meaning of Christ's response, "He who is not with me is against me", can readily be understood by looking at a modern negative example, and then following up with a positive example.
Here is the negative example; Elohim City was a militant, religious group in Oklahoma during the early to mid 1990's that helped to plan and execute the Murrah Federal Building Bombing on April 19, 1995. Linda Howe was an undercover agent working for the Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms division of the U.S. government and was working (by informing on them) against Elohim City while pretending to be with them.
Thus, in the context of undercover work, Linda Howe, who was not with Elohim City (in reality), was against Elohim City and tried to prevent the bombing! Even though she appeared to be for Elohim City. Here we see the meaning of Matthew 12:30. "He who is not with me is against me" Linda Howe was against Elohim City.
Let's continue with the same negative example. The ATF and the FBI were notified of the planned bombing yet did nothing to prevent the bombing (except warn their own agents to not come in to work on the morning of April 19th, 1995). Here we can discern the meaning of Christ's, seemingly contradictory statement in Mark and Luke, "for he who is not against us is for us;".
Thus, in the context of actions and deeds (or omission of them, such as failing to arrest the known planners of the bombing), because the FBI and ATF did not act against Elohim City, they were, in fact, for Elohim City and the bombing which occurred. The FBI and ATF did not act against Elohim City so they were for Elohim City. "for he who is not against us is for us;"
Now let's look at Christ's two apparently conflicting statements in Matthew and Mark in positive examples which mirror Christ's discussion of religious beliefs.
In Matthew 12: 30 a good example would be what the Bible refers to as "false brethren" (II Corinthians 11:26, "in perils among false brethren;"). These false brethren, working undercover, appear to be for Christ but are not with Him and are thus actually against Him. "He who is not with me is against me" A modern day example of a false brother/sister would be one who appears to heal people through Christ, but is actually deceiving his audience by using paid actors to pretend to be sick and then healed. Such a person is actually against Christ and the truth for which He stands. Another example would be a mainstream Christianity preacher of today proving himself to be a false brother or sister by saying that the Partners-In-Prayer.org is a work of the Devil.
In the seemingly contradictory Mark and Luke statement by Christ, I could use my own Mother as an example. She once told me that she could not follow or be part of my beliefs (the beliefs of the Partners-In-Prayer.org) because her entire life had been built around the beliefs of mainstream Christianity. Yet she was not against my beliefs because of their fruits in my life. Thus, by not being against Christ's true church (even though she remained a part of mainstream Christianity), she was for Christ's true church. "for he who is not against us is for us;"
Thus we can see that people of all faiths can be for Christ's true church, the Partners-In-Prayer.org, by simply not working against us! And they can be a part of Christstruechurch.org, while remaining in their current church affilliation, by simply believing and mentally asking Christ to accept their belief.
"He who is not with me is against me" & "for he who is not against us is for us;", both are true and not contradictory when taken in their proper context.
Christ Himself, with His very own words, proves the current mainstream Christianity's church sign false, "To Fail To Decide For Christ, Is To Decide Against Christ."
In truth it should read,
"To Fail To Decide For Christ (as long as one doesn't work against Christ), is to still be FOR Christ!!!"
And the scoffers who say that you can prove anything by the Bible, don't understand the true meaning of the scriptures. The scoffers should rather say, in order to be truthful,,,, that
"The Bible can be misused to prove anything you want."

Hurricane Frances looks like another bad one. With its almost due westerly course over the last several days, southern Florida looks to be in for a wallop. Let's pray that God will cause Frances to skirt the southern tip of Florida, doing minimal damage, sparing life, and head on out into the Gulf.
God has answered our prayers again, causing the storm to stop off the southeastern coast of Florida and diminish in intensity before moving across Florida and back into the Gulf.
The Bible says that the prayers of the righteous avail much, and that my friends,,,, is you. Let us thank God for hearing your prayers and for answering them in the affirmative.

It has been reported that "reasonable" consumption
of alcohol has a beneficial effect on the heart. The linked
article states that consumption of seven beers
per week (an effort to gently give permission for one binge per
week?) will help
reduce the need for repeat angioplasty.
One beer per day would fall into the category of moderate consumption of alcohol for a man and borderline excessive drinking for a woman when it comes to liver damage. Seven beers consumed in one night will definitely damage the liver. I also think that if the truth were to be known, there are few drinkers who stop at one drink a day. The "relaxing " effect of alcohol is more pronounced after two or three drinks.
It does not say on the label of beer and wine that drinking will lead to liver damage (dementia and death). This is a finding borne out by medical research. It does say on the label of Tylenol that taken in combination with alcohol it will damage the liver. It does not say on the label of Tylenol that taken by itself it will lead to liver damage (a finding borne out by medical research).
The taking of Tylenol (acetominophen by any brand) is sure fire liver damage. Drinking any more than occasional, minimal quantities of alcohol is sure fire liver damage. In the linked article (when the normal experimental margins of error are incorportated into the findings) there is a one in a hundred chance of improved arterial blood flow by drinking alcohol. [30% minus 3% margin of error compared to 23% plus 3% margin of error, i.e., 27% compared to 26%!!!]
You can easily be the judge if that percentage is worth the dementia, Alzheimers, Picks, mental and physical incapacity and death that will ensue liver damage done by alcohol.
As mentioned below, one of the symptoms of liver damage is itching palms. Intense itching of the palms and the ankles is an ominous sign.
Liver damage cannot be undone. In other words, the liver doesn't do much in the way of healing itself. Liver damage reaches a point when even the cessation of drinking will not stop the continuing poisoning of the body and particularly the mind (causing worsening dementia, Alzheimers, Picks or whatever it may be called). Stopping the drinking may slow the downward spiral somewhat.
Once the liver reaches a certain point, it stops filtering the toxic substances (found in all foods we eat) and thus allows them to circulate in the bloodstream (thus poisoning the brain cells).
Early signs of brain damage and dementia are sometimes reversible if all drinking is stopped. More advanced dementia becomes permanent even with a liver transplant.
Liver transplant is the only cure for cirrhosis. There are multiple thousands of people waiting for liver transplants each year, and only a small fraction of that number actually receive a new liver. Even if new livers were distributed in an unbiased manner, the chances of receiving one are slim.
In addition, if drinking is continued after the transplant, the new liver will not last as long as the patient's original liver. In such cases cirrhosis returns much more quickly.
The best hope for people is that they stop drinking alcohol entirely, with the possible exception of a drink at a wedding or other very special occasion (even then, remembering that every drink will cost remaining, healthy liver cells). Even if liver damage has been done in the past, there is a good hope that enough poison filtering function of the liver remains to prevent increasing dementia. Every healthy liver cell is priceless at that point.

What every person who drinks (even an occasional single drink
socially) needs
to know, but probably doesn't want to hear.
For instance: During a speech at a civic club meeting, a doctor spoke on the heart. He said that if we forgot everything else about his speech to remember to take a heart-healthy, large (400IU) extra dose of Vitamin E every day. What better setting for reliable advice could there be? Right???
WRONG.
One could now assume he was trying to harm the unsuspecting in the crowd.
As it turns out, large doses of Vitamin E exacerbates liver damage and worsen it!
Women are even more susceptible to cirrhosis than men. One drink a day of any type for a female can lead to cirrhosis, and only two drinks a day for a man. As far as cirrhosis is concerned, one or two drinks a day is heavy drinking.
Some symptoms of the early stages of liver damage showing up at any age may include;
mood swings (often noticed as bursts of anger), unwarranted changing of stances on subjects during conversations or within a short period of time, and even chronic fatigue. Itching of the palms is also a sign of damage to the liver.
One of the most eye opening aspects of this study is the fact that what has often been called "early onset" Alzheimers is in fact dementia which is caused by the liver damage. Scientists believe that as the liver becomes damaged, instead of cleaning toxins from the blood it allows those toxins to circulate in the blood. As they pass through the brain, damage starts to occur. The technical term for this process is hepatic encephalopathy but what it amounts to is dementia caused by liver damage (the earliest symptoms being listed above, i.e. anger, etc.).
If the individual is drinking, he or she should immediately stop ALL alcohol consumption of any type (whisky, beer, wine, mixed drinks of any type) for the rest of his or her life.
There is only one way to conquer death. That way is contained in this website.
It has been reported that Alexander the Great said that we can "conquer death by conquering our fear".
Well,,, if the fear to be conquered is the one of coming to this website to learn of the truth, then he was right.

For those of you who might be (or who might know someone who is) considering surgery to correct gum disease (called periodontal surgery)!
Please advise them that they need to consider and discuss with the surgeon beforehand two possibilities.
One is more serious than the other.
Both can be upsetting.
First of all it needs to be discussed if you will have full use of your lips after the surgery. The after effects of periodontal surgery can include being unable to whistle.
While this might seem minor, it can be a great aggravation, when you need to whistle to be heard for some reason.
Another, even more serious after effect, you need to discuss with the tooth surgeon is whether your facial appearance will be permanently altered by the surgery.
After effects of the surgery can include the loss of dimples in your cheeks and particulary in your chin.
These life long alterations of your appearance and abilities result from the cutting of certain nerves and/or connective tissue and need to be addressed before you experience them.
I wish that I had tried "deep cleaning" (a tooth cleaning with the numbing of novocaine) and given my body a chance to heal, before submitting to surgery. God has given our bodies miraculous ability to heal from infections.
The "deep cleaning" is an option that some periodontists are loathe to tell you about. It costs much less for one thing.

The founder of Partners-In-Prayer used to work for the railroad and is very aware of the sense of security felt around trains and train stations. That sense of security makes the bombings seem all that much more a betrayal.
In this "house of prayer for all nations" (Mark 11:17, "My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer") let us join together in praying for God's Kingdom to be soon established here on this earth, when we will once again be able to see and talk with our deceased loved ones (ICorinthians 15:22, "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.")
And when the governments of this world, with their murderous and rapine elements, will pass away to be replaced by the loving and just government headed by Jesus Christ.
In a surprise move, the State of Utah has declared that the intentional killing of an unborn fetus is MURDER!

In light of this decision by the State of Utah, all abortions NATIONWIDE should cease immediately and any doctor, from this point forward, should be charged with murder for performing an abortion. If abortions don't stop immediately in Utah, at least, then the Utah law protecting unborn fetuses becomes a farce.
I state this, in light of the Supreme Court of Utah's previous decision, because the action taken on March 11, 2004 to charge the Mother with murder stems from advice given by a physician. If a doctor performs an abortion, he or she is giving de facto advice that such a procedure is advisable. Therefore the doctor giving such de facto advice is even more culpable in murder than a Mother who refuses medical advice and who may have religious or other convictions of her conscience regarding operations.
Therefore it is presently incumbent on a Mother carrying unborn life to assess the advice given by the doctor (since such advice could legally be the destruction of the fetus, i.e., abortion) and determine wether or not to accept such advice. If she decides to reject such advice from the doctor, then she has the right to use as an excuse any real reason she can think of for such refusal. (She doesn't want the scars, doesn't feel like it today, has something else to do, etc.) By so doing she can refuse the advice without coming out and saying to the doctor that she thinks he might be advising murder, i.e., abortion (which is currently legal).
Let us praise God that a State of our Union recognizes full well the sanctity of unborn life and that it is MURDER to deliberately end such life.
It was reported yesterday (2/25/04) that the Muslims in Nigeria were refusing polio vaccinations because of feared side effects from the vaccine.
Although the speaker promoting the vaccinations said that there are no side effects and nothing to worry about, that is untrue. It was reported that they are using the live vaccine (live polio virus is injected into the child) and not the Salk Vaccine (dead polio virus).
The live vaccine can sometimes cause actual polio in the person receiving the vaccination.
In addition, the person who has received the live vaccine can infect others, who have not been vaccinated, with regular polio.
This is because the live vaccine causes a mild polio type illness in the digestive tract of the individual receiving it and the illness sometimes flares up into full fledged polio. In addition, full fledged polio is sometimes transmitted to others who are not vaccinated even though the person receiving the vaccine does not develop full fledged polio. This is particulary true of the mother of a vaccinated child who often comes into contact with the contents of the child's digestive tract (i.e., changing diapers, etc.)
This is true for Americans as well as Nigerians. When we had our children vaccinated, we made a special request that the Salk (dead) vaccine be used to immunize them.

It's little wonder that Billy Graham of the Billy - Franklin Graham Baptist organization has come out in favor of the movie "Passion" which is reportedly anti-Semitic.

Dear Partners-In-Prayer,
As the SARS scare draws to a close, congratulations again are in order for you. You responded to the scare, not with masks and panic, but rather with loving concern and a healing touch. BRAVO! Your courage helped to preserve our society from unreasoning panic.
And now we need to turn our attention to our neighbors, which are facing the peril of the loss of freedoms, i.e, the freedom of privacy from the government, the freedom of unreasonable search and seizure by the government, the freedom of speech, etc.
Many, many Americans like you and me are worried about this loss of freedom,,,, from noted newspaper columnists like William Raspberry, to local librarians who are worried about the government prying into the books you read.
Many of the ones who would normally be worried about this are being blinded by flag waving patriotism which is being stirred up by the mainstream churches, now on the government payroll. And many others are simply content to let things rock along as long as there is a constant stream of movies and Monday night football and baseball. Not that there is anything inherently wrong with that entertainment, but we must wake up to the fact that our freedoms are in jeopardy!
I saw a sign yesterday in front of a mainstream church which said, "True Freedom Is Knowing Jesus"
While this is basically true, it is a blatant attempt to soothe us into accepting the wasting of our freedoms by the government with simply "knowing Jesus".
The slaves in our country one hundred and fifty years ago had the freedom to know Jesus, yet that did not prevent them from living miserable lives. Russian citizens under Stalin had the freedom to know Jesus, yet that did not prevent them from being imprisoned or killed for disagreeing with the government!
While believing in Christ brings the ultimate freedom,,,,, Christ does not advocate wastage.... And that includes the stealing of our Constitutional freedoms by the government!
We must consider our own leaders, religious, local, state, and congressmen to see if they are DOING ANYTHING to PREVENT this loss of basic freedoms. If they are not, then we should replace them with someone who is concerned!
A sad, prevalent attitude was expressed by an attractive American woman in line at the Post Office the other day in response to a news article on the overhead television. The article was about a Middle Eastern woman who had her driver's license suspended because she refused to have her picture taken for the license without her veil, for religious reasons.
The American woman's comment while in line was, "Well, that's one less this country has to worry about."
I am certain that many Germans, whipped up by Hitler into patriotic frenzy, said the same thing as a Jew was carted off to the concentration camps.
We must earnestly pray that something will change the direction of our government, and that once again we will not have the rights guaranteed by our Constitution threatened by an increasingly tyrannical government. It is a tendency toward tyranny that started during the Clintons' administration starting with the governmental shooting of women and children as they fled a burning building in Waco, Texas, typified by military drills terrorizing nursing home residents near Corpus Christi, Texas and continuing and intensifying under the present Bush administration with the implementation of the PATRIOT ACT.
Now, more than ever our country needs us, Partners-In-Prayer, the truth!!! We need not expect to be thanked or even appreciated for our concern in the present; for the prevailing attitude is too much that of the woman in the Post Office. However one day, God may look back and say, "Well done, Partner-In-Prayer, the truth!!!. You helped save the land of the free for your children and grandchildren."
What a wonderful blessing it would be to hear that from God.

Should The Door Be Flung Open To Teach "Christian Values" In Our Public Schools?
Being familiar with the way private schools, that are connected to Christian churches, operate, explains the concern that many have over Rod Paige's, the Secretary of Education, recent comments about "Christian values" being taught in our public school system.
Many people do not want their children coming home frightened that their parents are going to roast in hell if they are not "saved".
And that is what they are taught by teachers and visiting ministers in assemblies and in the class, when the doors to teaching "Christian" values in the school are flung open.
The safe course is the continued maintenance of the line separating church and state; a line which, recently, has become increasingly fuzzy with the current administration's practice of the Federal funding of local church "Faith-based, community programs".
Through this practice, the Federal government gains leverage on the church's teachings and helps to assure that the church receiving the funds will teach the government viewpoint in all matters. If they refuse,,,,, the church will face the consequences of losing the Federal funding!
The church in question, then effectively sells it independence of thought and viewpoint to the sugar daddy Federal government.
To extend the teaching of Christian values (which would of necessity include the Christian rewards for believing, and the Christian punishments [i.e., hell] for not believing) to the public schools would be a grave mistake, placing students who believe differently from mainstream Christianity in a persecuted position.
The churches and parents are certainly capable of instilling proper values within their children. It would be best for the schools to continue to refrain from teaching religion and confine their efforts in such honorable directions to the teaching of the IDEALS of American laws and justice.
For certainly the IDEALS of law and justice in our blessed nation are founded on principles of right and wrong.

The official stance of the Partners-In-Prayer, the truth!, because of the commandment given by Jesus Christ in Matthew 19:18 (He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,) is one of conscientious objection to participation in war and directly enabling the war effort.
It is a matter of obedience, not courage.
The recognition of the reality that this entire world relies on war to settle disputes and that both sides in all conflicts believe that God is on their side does not negate individual responsibility to refrain from slaying people.
The recognition of the reality that our country is our home and that we are being protected by those who are fighting to see us remain safe from faraway threats which, in the future, could be brought near, places a debt of gratitude upon us.
The safety of fighting servicemen should be prayed for. Returning servicemen, as a group, should be treated with dignity and respect.
Soldiers who have killed are in no more danger of eternal nonexistence than is an adulterer (and Christ said we are guilty of adultery if we simply look on a woman to lust).
For those who cannot accept this teaching now, there will be a time of repentance later, of which I have spoken many times.
The enemy should be prayed for as well (Matthew 5:44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,) so that the killing may end.
We, as members of Partners-In-Prayer, the truth! should pray for peace and live our lives in a manner that will help bring blessings on America from God.

about is too minor for God's attention.

I realize that many of us
are
still trying to come to terms with the 9/11 tragedy of 2001.
As we do so, there are some who
would try to increase a feeling of guilt on our part with statements
like,
"If you ride alone, you ride
with Bin Laden."
This implies that somehow by riding in the car by ourselves and using gasoline that we are somehow helping Bin Laden and/or his ilk, or worse even,,,,, maybe we are a little responsible for the whole thing happening. ...............if only I hadn't been driving so much.........
That is hogwash.
There has been and is now
plenty of gas to go around,,,, and more!!!
The trouble is,,, that there is
as much greed as there is gas.
Believe the sad truth,,, there are many oil executives and politicians who would be fine with the idea of the American populace paying two or three times as much for gas, even though it would mean a greatly increased number of us living at or near the poverty level.
This is simply because they themselves would become fabulously wealthy.
No, my friends, there is no need to feel guilty for 9/11,,, regardless of your gas consumption.
I firmly believe (and I hope this will help you) that those of us who didn't directly lose a family member or friend in the attacks can ease our minds by doing the following.
Basically, our minds are problem solving computers. Our minds try to make sense out of what we see around us and try to solve the problems we are experiencing. This applies to the 9/11 tragedies as well. Our minds try to solve the problem causing the pain,, try to undo the tragedy somehow.
By realizing that our mind CANNOT solve the problem or undo
it, I believe this will help us.
When we find ourselves thinking
of 9/11, we can remind ourselves that it cannot be undone or solved no
matter how hard we think about it. We can stop trying to undo it in our
minds.

A Message From The Founder Concerning
Homosexuality and the United Way.

It has come to the attention of the founder of Partners-In-Prayer that the United Way is withholding funds from the Boy Scouts of America in numerous localities across the country because the Boy Scouts refuse to tolerate homosexuality within the ranks of their leadership.
The founder of Partners-In-Prayer, Charles Bryant Edwards, applauds the Boy Scouts of America for their stance on homosexuality. Few things are more repulsive than the thought of turning one's son over to a homosexual Boy Scout leader to allow him to "hit on" your son while he is camping and trying to sleep in his tent.
The Boy Scouts of America not only hold the high ground morally on this issue, but also they are protected by the Constitution.
I am familiar with the techniques used by the United Way to solicit their funds, which are subtracted from worker's paychecks similar to a tax. Workers are often placed under a substantial amount of pressure to sign pledge cards allowing these withdrawals,,, on the basis that the United Way does much good work. It is true that they do much good work.
However, because the United Way has obviously bowed to financial pressure placed on them by homosexual activist groups who want not simply tolerance and patience while they repent of their sin but total acceptance as normal and right, it impels us to reply to the United Way's stance.
If I were having withdrawals made from my paycheck (regardless of my locality and whether the local United Way is supporting the Boy Scouts in my area) I would request of the person handling the paycheck withdrawals that the United Way withdrawals be stopped immediately. If I were asked why I was taking this action I would say that based on moral considerations, the United Way is continuing to show itself unworthy of my support and that I will continue to support those local charities and Boy Scouts with donations that I will send in myself.
When the offending United Way localities apologize to the Boy Scouts of America for their unjustifiable stance which tends to promote flagrant immorality, apologize for the humiliating treatment they have shown to Boy Scout representatives, and reimburse them for the funds which have been withheld from them,,, then,,,, and only then,,, will I consider reinstating my pledge to support the United Way through payroll deduction.
I imagine you've noticed the billboards and church signs around which have "nifty" little sayings on them and God's "signature" beneath the "nifty" saying such as:
"What part of 'thou shalt not' didn't you
understand?
-God-"
"Need directions?
-God-"
"You think it's hot here?
-God-"
I wonder upon whose authority signs like that
are being published. Personally, I would be hesitant to sign God's name
to something He didn't write,,,, especially in light of the scripture
found in Revelation 22:18 which reads
"For I testify unto every
man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this
book, If any
man shall add unto these things, God shall
add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:"
When
it comes
to the question of prayer in the public school system, it is not the
question
as to whether the student(s) are to be allowed to pray (for it is
impossible
to prevent a student from praying silently in his or her own mind).
The question is whether the
student(s) are to be allowed to be The fact of human nature is that
this latter occurrence becomes a litmus test for abuse and persecution
(as it
did at VMI) and thus deprives some students of their right to an equal
education in a public school without regard to their religion. What does Christ have to say about
this through his recorded word? Let's look in Matthew chapter 6 verses
5-6.
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou
hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy
Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

All the recent highly documented interest in ghosts, superstition, and the occult has lead to an amazing new discovery in medical science!!! All emergency rooms and rescue response teams are now being equipped with small mirrors.
These one-use, life and death, only mirrors come with instructions on the back instructing the medical personnel to place the mirror in the hands of the patient and then pull the hands of the patient apart, causing the patient to drop the mirror on the floor and break it.
Since ghosts and superstitions are
now proven to be real, this then guarantees the patient seven years of
bad luck.

As a Partner-In-Prayer, and thus
concerned about the truth, we need not be worried about the Federal
Court Ruling concerning the Pledge of Allegiance.
The truth, in this case, was stated by the man who brought the lawsuit
when he said something to the effect: We wouldn't like it if the
Buddhists became a majority in this country and Congress undid what
they did in 1954 by removing "one nation under God" and replacing it
with "one nation under Buddha".
I think all of us can say "Amen" to that.
As to the moral effect it will have on our country; it will be nil. Have morals improved since 1954 when the words were added? We can consider for a moment; what does the money that pimps and murderers carry around in their pockets say on it? That's right.... It says "In God We Trust".
That's why we need not be worried my
friends.
